on amazon it just says "This title has not yet been released.
You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available" so that is why i said no release date known yet |

Fear not my friend... The sequel has already been green-lit (according to recent comments from Spielberg himself).
Stoked. Ordered this from France the other day (the Blu-ray 3D version, as well as the regular version with the Weta statue of Snowy). Due to arrive in a little over 2 weeks! |

Supposedly, 'The Seven Crystal Balls' and 'Prisoners Of The Sun' were originally serving as the source material for the sequel... but now they're saying those might be saved for the third installment.
Wonder what on earth they're going to use for the sequel then?! |

Way back on February 3, keb33509 reported that Bestbuy.com had Tintin's Blu-ray 3D USA release date listed for 3/13/2012.
Almost two weeks later it is now posted and announced today: The Adventures of Tintin Blu-ray-3D, corroborating the 3/13/2012 USA release date, and the date is also listed today at: ![]() Amazon.com Paul

I received a VISA gift card as a rebate for some tires, so I decided to order Tintin. I never got to see it in the theaters, so watching it at home will be the first time seeing it. It's $27.99 at Amazon, and I figure it's worth it, especially for free. My 3D collection is growing. . .

Do you think Best Buy will have a $5 off Coupon for this? Or do they just seem to do that with Disney/Dreamworks movies? Trying to decide whether to go with Amazon or BB.

Loved this movie...
I usually swing for the 3D editions since they have the cooler packaging with the lenticular covers, so does anybody know off hand if this release will include a lenticular slip? I thought Hugo 3D would, and it did not.

Yeah, I felt they could've pushed the depth quite a bit more. As of now, it's a bit too safe for my preference, probably because the filmmaker feared younger viewers might not be able to endure strong 3D along the lines of Hugo for example.

My 3D copy was shipped today, so I should have it by next weekend.
I thought the 3D was excellent when I saw it in the theatre. It wasn't used like a gimmick and was utilized sparingly so that it never distracted, but added depth that was really marvelous in places, especially during those huge vistas. |
