Its to much because most real Bond fans have already bought most, if not all, of the existing BDs sans the unreleased 9. For me personally there needs to be more savings before I double-dip and/or hassle with unloading my existing collection.

It doesn't matter because if the price goes up or down Amazon will give you the lowest price between when you order it and it's released, irregardless of how much it was when you ordered it.

I pre-ordered the other day. It was in my Gold Box for $189 so I figured I'd snag it and when the price goes down, I'll still get a discount on top of the new lower price (I think it works that way). If not oh well, I can just cancel and wait for BF. Either way; I'll probably still get it.

yes, if it goes lower than the $189 you pre ordered it at you'll get it at that price. Up till its shipped.

LOL well that's not really realistic... For a set of 22 movies, it's a great deal, period. Whether or not you already purchased some of the movies has no bearing on the price and value of THIS set as a whole. That's like saying, just because you already own a car, your new car should be half off. Commerce has never worked that way, although I'm sure many wish it did.

I bought all the previous blu-rays and just sold them for around $12 each on ebay, so I got my money back.

I'm very much aware of how Amazon preorder price guarantee works, as I've been using it for several years. I just stated what you said was not true, as you've just now stated.

Not true, the price could still down again after you preorder. So what you said is not accurate.

Almost in the same boat as you. My wife bought the complete James Bond dvd set that Amazon had on special for $100 a few years back - I sold it for about $130ish last fall. Cost-wise, I come out slightly ahead which is fine for me in this instance. I also had the Bond 11 blu ray set that I sold off as well (and came out ahead on that one too). Now, as long as I make this the last Bond blu ray set that I purchase for a while, I will be happy.

If I had to guess, I would say yes. However, it remains unconfirmed.

Just note that Casino Royale will most probably be the UK edited version so there is a difference there.

Not sure how accurate this is, but dvdaf.com has this being released on 10/2/12. I guess we'll know for sure in the coming months!
