Just ordered this item and was wondering if anyone out there has one. It plays all region blu-ray and dvd and also plays 3D blu-ray and it doesn't need any external converters to convert PAL to NTSC. Paid $143 shipped with the 5% coupon. Anyone

there is a difference though, the company E5CAP3 ART15T bought it from made it region free. The one on eBay might NOT be region free

EDIT: the only one I found on eBay is region free DVD, NOT region free BD

I picked up the OREI region free dvd player for $49 bucks last year from them and it worked perfectly. I definitely would like to upgrade to this blu player, at the time i got the dvd player the chepest blu player they had was 250 range.

Yeah I was going to say to be careful about that because I think there is one that is the same model and its a bit cheaper and it does play blu-ray but its only region free dvd, not blu.

On the Bombay website they have it pretty clearly labeled and you can use the 5% discount.

I was looking at this same player not too long ago but couldn't find any reviews or anything on it. I'd like to hear more about it, but june10mckay's comment worries me.

I haven't received mine yet but that doesn't sound promising. I thought these were modified already and you didn't need to enter codes and what not.

OK, I figured it out.

They come with code. At first it wasn't working, but I think that I was going too slow. You have to hit the "Random" button then the numerical code, and a secret menu pops up that allows you to change the region code to A, B, or C. You can't have all at the same time, and when you want to change back you have to redo the code.

Just a FYI...I received an email back from Bombay electronics and they say 'YES' it does play back DIVX

Got player. Works great but haven't tried a region locked BD yet, awaiting on a shipment.

Edit: Tried a region B blu-ray and it worked wonderfully. Do recommend the player.
