Just watch Journey 1 and it was amazing. For those who love the pop out, you got it. It was a fun movie to watch. I am really surprised with the amazing 3D in this movie. Both my kids love it. I highly recommend this movie if you don't own it yet.

Wal-Mart and Amazon have it down to around $30.00. It's still kinda high, but it's a pretty good 3D film so you just may find it worth it.

I think it's safe to say Journey 2 can be compared to a Disney Ride, and even "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids". Good hearted, simple, adventurous fun if that's what you're looking for.
Journey 1's price in "Best" Buy, if they insist on calling themselves that, is still insanely priced at $42.99 and it just reached their shelves where I live. They didn't even discount it. |

BTW since I'm in the UK I got no use for the free ticket to see Journey 2, so if someone wants the code, PM me but it expires the 26th, so best be quick.

Just came back from watching Journey 2 on IMAX 3D. What a great experience in 3D. Wish we have more movies like this in the future.
Also saw the trailer for the Hobbit in 3D and can't wait until December. Too long for me.

so I watched Journey to the Centre of the Earth and found it really enjoyable, nice pop-out moments throughout and good depth, granted, the transfer was a bit flakey in areas (shadow noise) which let it down a fraction, but all in all there was a really solid feeling of dimensionality for most of it, the T-Rex had some nice pop-out moments, as did the bio-luminescent birds and the fish. Obviously it was a film that played up the gimmicky 3D shots in areas, but it was all done in good fun so I enjoyed it, can't wait for no.2 to come out on BR1

I may have missed it in the thread so I take it the US version is region free as opposed to region a locked and you had a multi-region player?

Yes, it's multi-region, since the US version plays on my UK Region B/2 Playstation 3 just fine, so should work for you in NZ.

My wife and I went to Best Buy this weekend to pick this up, they had one copy left! Checked the price, 42.99!!! I asked an associate to double check that and he confirmed so I put it back on the shelf, no thank you!
I'll grab this one off of Amazon when it's <=30.00. No rush on my end, I've seen it - great movie though |

If only the stores would know that is only slows down 3D technology when the jack up the prices to be so high. No one likes to pay so much for 3D blus. When I go into the BB near me, I can see the same 3D blus sitting there. Not sure if they are selling any of them, but the same amount are still on this shelves. At $34 and $44 each, that is high. Amazon does have them cheaper. Just wished the prices over all for 3D would come down a bit.

Walmart has it for just a hair under 30, pm them and it shouldn't be an issue.

So I hope you're right and the companies read forums like this, where many people comment on the status of the Blu Ray 3D Market and Industry. Here's the message to the Blu Ray 3D distributors and stores too: Please lower the prices if you want more sales. Aim for $19.99 to $24.99 TOPS. Above that, and I guarantee, many people will think twice about how else to spend their hard earned money (if they aren't rich). |

I still have this on my "to buy" list but the price in Canada has been rather expensive. I don't think I've ever seen it for less then $34. The good news it that it's down from $39 on Amazon
