I have nothing for you John. Been keeping myself busy working with this new class of trainees. My 4 day work week has now turned into a 3 day work week. Got a wedding coming up this weekend and need to be up at Bear Creek by 2 on Friday. I felt it deserved a day off.

Nice!!!! 3 day work weeks sound good to me! It may be cool this weekend, but at least it won't be snowing. They got lucky planning a wedding in February like that and this being such a mild winter.

I have my son's 3rd b-day in less than 3 weeks and my daughter's 7th b-day is only 4 days after his...so lots of planning going on here.

You're telling me. The only downfall is they planned their wedding at the height of ski season so a 2 night stay in the hotel is costing me just over $400 for both night. All in good fun though I suppose.

Sounds like you have some planning of your own. 3 and 7? Getting big!

Not too surpirsed, the weekends always cost a lot more too. Just be happy it will be an open bar...right?

A 6 hour open bar to be exact. I can consume a lot of free booze in 6 hours. They might regret that decision when I'm

Hey there, John - and anyone else who's an LotR fan - Check out what I picked up on eBay today as some new theater room decorations... I had looked at these a few years ago, back then there were about 6 different versions available (and they were all priced over $200 a piece at the time!) Now, only these two were the very last ones left in stock, and I just had to get them! The first item below states it had a limited run of only 1000 worldwide...

Those are pretty cool looking Troy.......so do they really have a 3D look to them? If so, that would look great in your lighted movie poster frame.....

They are 3D Lenticulars - exactly like the 3D images you see on the BD sleeves on many 3D Blu-rays, or like the old 3D baseball cards from the 70's - with the tiny little ridges in the plastic coating that make a "zipper" sound when you run your fingernail across them... BUT, these are movie-poster size, 26" x 38", rather than just a couple inches across. They are opaque, so you can't put them in a light box - they need front lighting to view them. I'll frame them and maybe put little portrait lamps above them to light the front of the posters, to make the 3D really stand out.

Now you understand what these are?

Lol, I was editing my post while you just posted - see above.

I'll hang then in two of the spaces between my wall columns in the theater, probably the two spaces on the right wall between the light box and the LotG poster near the front... the spaces are 34" wide, just enough to hang movie posters with their frames.

Oh man...great time...but expensive as usual. However, good band, great food, and even better company. I slept maybe 6 hours from Friday to Sunday. Needless to say when I got home yesterday I was out
