Can it harm the steelbook?

The only really risk is bending the spine too much. You just have to remove it carefully. I think there's some 'how to' articles floating around, not sure where though.

Modified my Gran Torino 1st release German SteelBook.

Changed from 1-Disc to 2-Disc so that I could house both my Blu-ray & DVD discs.

Be patient, don't rush. Soften the glue on spine before attempting to remove it. Good Luck!

Nice work Lleyton. I was going to use the same artwork for Source Code, but I didn't want to have the character on the spine. Still looks good though.

Modified my Fast 5 sb. It had a 3-Disc insert, but only had 2 discs inside. One was a Digital Copy which I threw in the trash, so I was left with one disc. Now it has a 1-Disc insert....much better. Looks like I may have been a bit heavy handed with the glue, but it will probably dry clear.

Hi PS3 Kiwi!!

I tried here with a Steelbook already known to you...

I took to replace the plastic part with one of two slots.

It is pretty cool, but it's too much work to do with the spine.

Can anyone here that's using Photoshop post up what the image size/pixel and resolution/pixel/inch is that they're using for their print outs? I can't find the perfect fit for my main panel backgrounds, especially the spine, and it's costing me a lot of ink and paper >=(

Ack! It's in German =/ Cool template though

I just tried to do a test print, but apparently a standard letter sized 8.5x11 piece of paper isn't big enough for the image printout. No wonder my samples never fit before; I guess I needed bigger paper lol

You do need an A4 sheet size, which is common size in Europe.
On this paper, the overall print out will fit on one piece of paper.

I'm really interested in doing some work for my steelbooks, artwork for both inside and outside, just wondering what hardware and software you guys use? Basically what would I need to get started.

Is there a template around that you can use as an overlay while deisgning an insert? one that includes spines too maybe?
