The moving process...is a process to say the least. Quite frankly this is all rushed. I'm moving out of my current place this week. Where I'll end up I really don't know yet. I'm shoving all my crap into my parent's basement, garage, and storage shed. I can't even find a place to rent around here that is decent if I don't find a house anytime soon. I've seen 2 decent places around here in the past month and they were taken in less than a day. Working 6 days a week makes it difficult to find things.

We're looking for a condo for my mother-in-law and are experiencing the same thing. We find a property, schedule a showing, before the showing there is either already a pending contract or the sale has been finalized.

Or his completely furnished basement with bar, 3/4 bath, fridge, tv, couches, etc...

Which I'll probably be for a few weeks at minumum anyways even if my house offer is accepted.

The whole process is frustrating and a bit stressful when there isn't many options.

That sucks. Make the time/effort to set up something, only to find out it's SOLD or whatever.

Well I work 6 days a week. M-F 8-6pm and Saturday 8-2pm. My parents were in Aruba for 2 weeks this month so I couldn't leave work even for lunch. These were rental places though. The house scenario isn't that great either. I'm hoping this one house I put in an offer goes thru. Otherwise I might be going back to renting for some time (that is only when I manage to find a decent place till then). Otherwise it is basement living at my parent's till something gets figured out. I see them daily but I could only handle maybe 2 weeks of actually living there so hopefully this all gets resolved soon.

That's right buddy - forgot about your crazy schedule. So the only time you really have (at all) is from 2:30pm til ______ on Saturdays & anytime on Sundays. Tho' I assume "some" places could be shown during the week after 6pm (?), it'd be tough if the occupants are still there
[Show spoiler](vice during the day, where they leave the key with an Agent)

The places I referred to were rentals. If I recall right the choices when I moved here was slim also. There isn't really anything right now that I want to buy for houses on what I currently want to spend. However I did make an offer on this house but they have to agree to fix something or I won't buy it. It's a fixer upper but I can move into it easy. It really just needs paint in the kitchen, bedrooms carpet/re-floored, paint the outside (which isn't bad by all means...it's white and the paint closer to the ground is a bit dirty...power wash might clean that up), and appliances. I'm holding off till fall probably on buying a house if this house offer doesn't happen.

Projector is for sale (and screen but only local pickup) if anyone is interested. Looking at 65"+ 3dtvs to replace it with.

Good luck on the hunt.

65"+ huh? Nice. Any brand(s) in mind? Panasonic usually gets great reviews now that the Pioneer KUROs are no longer being made.
[Show spoiler](Didn't Panny buy the same technology from them for their plasmas?)

House offer was counter-offered which I then re-counter-offered. Price will be agreed upon regardless. So assuming no problems till closing time I guess I have a house.

Those Mitsubishi 3D DLPs are are tempting. I like the 82'' one and seems to get real favorable reviews plus the price is reasonable on those. I don't know. I've got appliances, carpet, av stand, and a receiver to buy first.
