Default PS3 Video Studder On Blu-ray

First time I have seen this. Started up and played The Matrix Bluray. I jumped to the scene where the they are picking Neo up in the car in the rain and the car was studdering, like you'd see in a laggy online game room. It was minimal but still noticeable. A restart fixed it, but has anyone else had this happen?

I have a 60GB model that did this.

Your laser is going out. Its only a matter of time before it gets unwatchable.

You'll notice longer game loading times as well.

I swapped my blu ray laser out for a new one and all was good. I did break the warranty seal and buy a torq10 screw driver to get inside. Along with that I needed to buy the drive itself ($70).

There is a small chance you got finger prints on the disc though lol.

I wouldn't worry too much yet.Now if it keeps happening, then yes your laser is probably going to die, but if a reboot fixed it then it could have been anything really. Just keep an eye on it, and if it starts happening then make sure you back up all your important game stuff.

I'm hoping, and it seems, that it was something, a driver, that loaded wrong on start up. I also played BF3 and GT5 after, no issues. I posted though just to see if it was a possibly a sign of something going on, hardware or even a new issue since the last system update.I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the replies.
