You think I'm a hero? I am not a hero. And if you're smart, that scares you. Because I have nothing to lose.

There's a woman who acted in this movie who tells her children "When I was younger I acted in a Tom Cruise movie. In the middle of a poem he was recited I shouted 'Dingaling!'"

Loved this movie when it came out, but recently caught it on cable and I must say I found it mediocre in retrospect. Had it not been for rewatching it, I would've picked it up Day 1 for nostalgia.

This movie is cool as H. While I'm not a particular fan of Tom Cruise, I think his earlier films are better than his latter work. Cocktails is one of those films that deserved to be released before now. lols

I've always thought that this movie was one of the strangest turns in Cruise's career. It's hard to believe that he decided to follow up The Color of Money with Cocktail of all things.

Anyways, despite its cheesiness, I really do like the film. I consider it one of the ultimate guilty pleasures as far as movies are concerned.

Personally find Cocktail far superior, though perhaps not as deep - perhaps calling The Color of Money deep is a bit of a stretch. The Hustler was nice, but the Color of Money... meh. Cocktail fits alongside Risky Business and All the Right Moves much more easily.
