I was waiting for this so that I can put up the rest of the money difference into a Panasonic 3D TV. Plus now there's Hugo, so that makes 2 3D movies one can enjoy.
Widescreen is better.

Default Last and Final Day

Today is the last and final day the contract between 20th Century Fox & Panasonic have on AVATAR 3D. So no more waiting or spending a ton of money to get a Panasonic 3D TV or 3D Blu-Ray player. Avatar 3D will be off the exclusive list at 12:00 A.M Pacific Standard Time. So Start the COUNTDOWN.

Really, the countdown to what? Don't you need an actual date to countdown to?

There actually is more waiting. Anyone who wants Avatar in 3D today is going to need to fork over the cash on Ebay... just like they did last week. In fact, now it's even going to be harder to get since people can't get it from Panasonic anymore.

they might release it in the fall for the holidays. that would be the best bet or releasing it after titanic 3d is out.

Yeah, I know there are rumors about a possible fall release (and it would not surprise me), but it's like having a countdown to the Indiana Jones movies on Blu-Ray when nothing has been announced. Based on some of the posts in this thread, you'd think that some big announcement was happening the instant Panasonic's exclusivity expired.

Lol wouldn't it be hilarious if the announcement from Panasonic would be that they extended their exclusivity rights again for Avatar 3D. Haha

Anyways I just got mine in the mail yesterday I don't know what the big fuss is all about I've seen the movie and I didn't really like it. I'm talking about the movie not the 3D aspect.

On another note, do you think that Titanic 3D could become exclusive somewhere that would suck because I really want that one.

I want this in 3D (badly) but I want the extended cut.

Hopefully sometime in 2012 we'll get our wish.
LOSSLESS audio... something that belongs on EVERY Blu-ray Disc. Every one. Warner and Paramount: take a lesson.

If it's not 1.5 screen widths, it's not "Home Theater" -it's TV.

Well no more contract Avatar 3D is off the list now. So NOW it's the waiting game with 20th Century Fox to see when and how long we will have to wait for the 3D movie to come out and what it will have. Either the theatrical or the extended edition.

I hope they release a 3D Combo Pack that includes the 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, the DVD and a Digital copy (hopefully not an Ultraviolet Digital Copy).

Wish they'd hurry up! Have had a 3D TV for a several months now and there's not much decent 3D content to play around with. Have had to make do with Piranha 3D so far

Star Wars will be the next Panasonic Exclusive (already announced). Also, there have been ZERO announcements so far it seems for Avatar being released so I think people will have to pay $80 for it on ebay. Mine actually came with my glasses but I have yet to open it (just in case I wanted to sell it for money on ebay) but I am getting tired of waiting as I hear its really good on 3D.

Not sure if this means anything but this site shows it (with no release date yet) and I notice it is listed at 16 minutes LONGER than the Panasonic exclusive.....maybe that is an indication it will be the extended version?
