I have a chance to pick up a pair of mint Studio 100 V2 and CC V2 for under $1K. Is this a good deal and how do they compare to the V3 line which I thought my friend had?

I still see the 100v2 going for about 1000$ CAD and 800$ish US. The CC v2 has always been in the 200-300$ range.

Going from Studio 20 and 40 v2 to Studio 20 v5 I can say the sound is more refined with the v5. More airy detailed.

Now you're getting 100s and a center channel from the price I paid the 20s without stands. If I had to do it all over again I'd jump on the hundreds.

That's my opinion. Others may chime in with different views.

The $$$$ difference doesn't make up for the sound difference.

I had a 290 with 20v2. There was a slight difference in sound with the monitor and studios. Night n day no. But when i went studio across the front the pans were much better.

It all comes down to how much $$$ the difference matters to you.

Is there a dif? Yes. Is it huge? No. Is it noticable? Yes.

Well I can get the CC 390 and CC 490 for the same price. I just love the size of the 390

Will be getting the Studio 20s for the fronts with 10s at the back and ADP 390 which are going for insane prices on eBay with international shipping. It's really the center I can't make my mind up on...?

Two different lines. I assume the CC-390 is the Monitor line? If so, you can still find it new?

Yeah 390 is the monitor and 490 is the studio.

Yeah 390 still readily available over here.

On a side note just picked up a pair of ABP 390 from ebay. Some guy selling factory refurb models for $299 with international shipping. Couldn't pass that up.

Also just ordered Studio 20's for my fronts. Still can't decide between the 390 and the 490?

Studio 60 - cc-590
