i understand cause of the limited release = more expensive to sell em to get a return, but charging like $39,95 for "the Egypthian" blu is really to expensive!
i would love to buy it but its against my nature to pay for "overpriced" items, max i would pay is $29,99 and even then... |

The only other TT title I have is The Egyptian, but there are a couple of their other titles that I would like to get as well, but between BFI, Masters of Cinema and Studio Canal Collection and now all the Universal 100th Annversary editions, it's a delicate financial juggle.

oh for sure. I have all the Criterion bds except basically anything from the last 10 years or so. (I did get Che and Gommorah)
I just don't have enough interest in the newer stuff to worry about buying all that stuff like Tiny Furniture or Soderberg. Give me the classic stuff. I have all the SC's except The Pianist I believe, and all the MoC's except for maybe 4 titles. I have all the TT's and Raro's except for The Rapture, and I'm doing pretty good on BU, but there are a bunch I probably won't ever get. I have a bunch of the BFI discs, but certainly not all of them. probably need around 10 or so, but I'm not really trying to get them all, as I just don't need all those obscure flipside titles. All and all, I really have way more bds than I will possibly ever get around to watching, and I'm already thinking about all these upcoming releases. ![]() I actually kept up with pretty much every release from the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's for a long time, but there are too many coming out now. That's a good thing though. Older American classics are definitely my favorites though, so I'm actually kind of amazed how many foreign language bds I actually have, even though they are all quite worthy films. most of the stuff I really want hasn't even come out yet--film noir, Bogart, Cagney, Fonda, Robinson, Grant, Peck, Wayne, Hitchcock, classic musicals, 30's gangster films-- although there has been some progress in the last year. . Yes, mine shipped as well. So I should see it on Tuesday - possibly Monday. Can't wait to watch this for the first time.
Lloyd C. Cramden: Flint, How do you find time to read all these books?
Derek Flint: No, no, no, sir, I wrote those. In Like Flint (1967) |

Very dissapointed that this movie does not have English subtitles!
Looks like that all the Fox releases from Twilight does not have english subtitles. I can understand this in releases from Mill Creek or Echo Bridge, but this release is so expensive and it does not have subtitles! I will just wait and import from another country when it is released overseas. |

When I do enjoy the time to venture out from Club Penton, I have to spread myself rather thin in trying to skim several other threads as quickly as possible. I actually came here initially to see if anyone was talking about Bite the Bullet because I didn’t see a dedicated thread about that title and which as a past competitive long distance racer (albeit on two wheels rather than four legs, and a current horse owner), BtB was of personal interest to me. Then I caught Clark Kent’s post and thought I’d elaborate a bit more on what he was talking about while here visiting. To sum up your query(s), without derailing the main topic of this thread, end-to-end standardization is the Holy Grail but, it is oh so complex with different wants, needs and priorities from all the players along the way. For example, just several months ago, after decades, display gamma was standardized in ITU-R BT.1886 as 2.4… http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread....tu#post4906051 My professional interest in the above standard is pretty much solely from a studio standpoint in the mastering environment, but as to how it relates to hobbyists and serious home theater enthusiasts who seek to recreate the filmmaker’s vision in their homes, I think Charles P adequately discusses that in this pdf…. http://www.spectracal.com/downloads/...alibration.pdf
To Whom It May Concern - The offers/inquires are appreciated; however, I no longer work only for perks from studio-based home entertainment companies.
