Not sure if it was in the comic adaptation or not... I just swear I saw the scene somewhere, but probably it's just my imagination.
My favorite movie of all time! I was thrilled when the Directors Cut VHS came out with that opening sequence.
Yeah now that I think of it, maybe that Indy scene was shown on a talk show, ET, or some kind of show like that. Maybe even a late night talk show promoting the movie and that clip was used.
Until you mentioned it, I had totally forgotten about it. So we can deduce one of the following:
1) The scene exists
2) We're both crazy

There's some discussion in that thread that this scene was storyboard only and was not filmed. I have that book, I'll have to flip through it again. But there's the storyboard.
That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness that turns good men . . . cruel.

I don't recall the scene being that elaborate. More like the hen was just above Indy and he grabbed the egg just was the 2 pilots were quietly walking past him.

Does anyone who ordered at the $74.99 price point see the lower price reflected in their open orders yet?

I don't think Amazon annotates price drops on preorder via your open invoice. If that's what you're asking?

In the past, I've seen pre-orders in "My Orders" auto-adjust to reflect the most recent price point, though this is not the case with Jones.

They still do, wait for 24 hours. Otherwise contact their CS and they'll update your order.

They guarantee lowest price for pre-orders. And when the price go up, your order will be protected and remain unchanged.
Too much nostalgia interrupts progress. Looking forward to something new.

It's been well over 24 hours since the price drop.

Edit: Spoke to amazon about the issue. A CS representative assured me I'd get the lower price even though my order still lists the higher price point. I'll keep an eye on it closer to release.

I'm sorry. I never noticed that before. I did check one of my other preorders and sure enough it reflected the reduced price. I guess I never paid much attention to it, as I usually just track prices on this site. Sorry for the confusion on my part!

When it comes to price drops I'll bet Indiana Jones is more like Jurassic Park or Back to the Future than Star Wars.

Not 1 or 2 months after it's been released, assuming it is released in either September/October.

They will actually get my money on this one, as opposed to Star Wars.

We're talking Paramount here, not Universal.

Year old Paramount titles are still selling for MSRP, and several are just plain OOP, rather than drop their price.

I'm sure it'll drop further as we approach release date. I'm guessing $59.99 or lower.

Agreed I'm sure Best Buy or Target will have it for $59.99 day 1, I think $15 per catalog title seems to be a fair price, but then again it is Paramount like some have said so they might just stick it to us
