Do you ever show classic 70's movies? Some great stuff, but long, but treated very well on BD. I think I read the film stock used mostly in the 70's had fine grain, so it looks nice and clean. Alien, The Godfather, The Deer Hunter, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest are some of my favs.

I always show a recent movie for my Monthly Movie Nights - although one time about two years ago I did show the movie "Hopscotch" with Walter Mathau - that is a most excellent and somewhat humorous spy flick...

Hey Dan! I think I'm going to go with the Three Musketeers 3D - I watched it last night, and it was just a fun movie, unrealistic action but who cares! That should be pretty entertaining for a crowd... you coming over to see it? Next Thursday and Saturday night!

Amamzon has now posted a $5 off coupon for Pre-order of John Carter 3D - $34.99 -$5 = $29.99... just ordered my copy. I also had that $10 AmazonLocal coupon everyone was buying up last week, so that knocked the price down to $19.99 for me... and if the pre-order price were to drop to $27.99 or $24.99 anytime before the release date, I could get the John Carter 3D Blu for as little as $9.99...!

I finally watched Thor 3-D last night, and I enjoyed it. The frost giant battle was pretty sweet. I need to grab a few more 3-D blus today, but we will see.

I really liked Thor 3D - and Green Lantern 3D too - any movie that is outer-space/alien oriented is right down my alley...

With my John Carter pre-order, that will put me at 32 3D Blu-rays and counting... in just 7 weeks! That's equvalent to buying one 3D blu-ray every 36 hours!

I been thinking about getting a couple today, but not for sure. The 3 Musketeers, and Resident Evil Afterlife might be my next two.

Ah, a big Milla fan, too, I see...

I totally enjoyed the Three Musketteers, so what it has totally unbelieveable action, and some lame dialogue, but it also has a lot of extreme CGI eye candy... and the 3D is natively filmed, so it is excellent... I liked it enough that I'm showing it for my Monthly Movie Nights next week.

So many 1- and 2-star reviews for that movie - I really feel sorry for stuffy movie critics who just can't relax and and enjoy a fun popcorn flick...

Not yet, but I'll most likely buy it eventually - the trailers actually look pretty good... I never saw the original one with Ah-nold, so I won't be biased that way, at least. Good thing is, all the movies that get sucky reviews from the critics all drop way down in price fairly quickly, so that always makes them good bargains. I wish ALL 3D movies sucked in the eyes of the reviewers...

Still waiting for Tangled 3D to drop back down below $30 again - I've been chomping at the bit for that one, and judging by the price history for it, it may do just that in the next few days... I missed purchasing it for $24.99 by just one day about 6 weeks ago, dang it...
