It does seem that way. But I know that Johnston is still under contract to do one more movie at Marvel, and he was really wanting to do Winter Soldier as a standalone film, so maybe that's what he's hoping to do right now and that's why he isn't doing Cap 2. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out what happens.

Glad to see he is under contract to do another. I agree that he is one of the better choices Marvel made. I would have liked for him to return for the sequel as he really did bring a good sense of adventure to the table. Of all the solo films, I actually have the least amount of imagination as to what Cap 2 will look like. So having someone familiar and trustworthy would get me more on board. Of course, if they could sell a ticket to me for the sequel right now, I would buy it.
