Darkest Hour - I didn't think it was too bad and for 20 bucks I'm pleased with my purchase, downfalls were some of the acting wasn't great and the 3D stills looked good but any motion seemed to cause a disruption between the POVs, really shakey. Camera steady - good 3D. Movement - bad.

On the brighter side, I think there were some great visual effects and the concept of the movie was pretty neat, some scenes were pretty awesome like the beginning shot of the airplane, the collapsed bridge, the wrecked plane, or the spots where energy seemed to flow to the sky.

Did anyone else think once you actually got to see what these aliens looked like, they resembled thee 80's Tony Hawk Bird Skull? lol

I agree. Not bad for $20. It is a good fluffy, popcorn movie. I was concerned that it might end up being like Skyline.

Purchased The Darkest Hour at Best Buy with a $20 rewards coupon. The movie itself wasn't bad but the 3d was lacking, no pop really at all and little or no depth throughout. Shame cause it was filmed in 3d. I sold it on eBay today for $18

I'm glad I finally understand what it is. It hadn't happened before on the 20-some movies I've watched since I got my TV.

Everyone is different though, so don't take my word for it. That was just my experience.
I totally agree, just no crosstalk for me.

I watched the first 15 minutes of The Darkest Hour and thought the 3D was really good..... I was expecting it to be crap(based on the reviews) but i was pleasantly surprised on how nice the picture was.... The depth was good in the first couple of scenes...I hope the rest of the movie is good as well....

Thanks for the updates. I will consider this one and didn't realize it was filmed in 3D. Hopefully they had the cameras far enough apart during filming to get stronger 3D layers.

Sounds good. Thanks for the deal posts. That's the lowest I've seen Smurfs 3D.

Has anyone else checked out that 20$ Walmart deal for Green Lantern 3D and Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D before it's gone, if not already gone? I still can't believe Journey 3D dropped to 20 bucks so soon; probably since everywhere else it's 42.99 or more and most people don't want to pay that for any single movie. Amazon.com had it for 27.99$.

Wal Mart looks like they are starting to be competitive with their online 3D bluray prices. There are a quite a few good 3D movies on sale for $20 and some good ones at $25

Also enjoyed The Darkest Hour; thought that the 3D was fine and that the film itself is very under-rated. Despite some generic aspects, it's fairly tense and suspenseful.

Wal Mart has the pre-order for $26.96, a bit cheaper than Amazon's $27.99 pre-order price.

Default The Darkest Hour

Based on the comments here, I picked it up at Target for $19.99 ($18.99 since I used my card), and even though the slipcover says "3D + Blu Ray Both versions on one disc", when you open it up, it has two discs: one labeled Blu-ray 3D and one labeled blu-ray disc. I haven't tried it out yet, but I will this afternoon.

Likely you'll have to pay tax though, if you live in a no tax zone for amazon then amazon is still a better deal, especially with the 3 dollar credit they are giving.

Default Titanic 3D at Amazon for $24.99

Amazon has a promotion right now on the Titanic 3D Blu-ray which includes a $3 credit which would put the effective price at $24.99. Not bad.

Samsung 2011 Starter pack with 2 pairs of 3100GB glasses,Shrek 1-4 3D and Megamind 3D is $69.99 at Best Buy. In-Store ONLY. Although BB's site says coupon for Shrek 4 and Megamind they are in fact included within the box.Shrek 1-4 are housed together and Megamind is in it's own case. Good deal if you ask me. Remember though this is in-store only. I will post the link soon,I'm using my PSP. Also this just dropped in price today so chances are your store might still have one floating around,my store had 1.

All titles are $19.99 for the 3D editions:

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Puss in Boots
Hugo
The Adventures of Tintin
The Lion of Judah

Pretty slim pickings this week, but there haven't been any the last few weeks,so something is better than nothing.

Is that in-store pricing only, again, or available online for that price as well? I don't have Transformers DotM 3D yet...
