Does anyone use the link? And what are your thoughts? I have a harmony 550 but recently got an iPad so I'm considering the link so I can move the 550 to the bedroom

I had to call customer service concerning my 1100. When I place it in the cradle it won't start the charging light/process. We came to the conclusion it's the adaptor. I just hope it's not the cradle.
I couldn't find anything to test it out. Waiting for the adaptor to come in the mail. I'm glad the remote hasn't died yet. I'm thinking about looking into the RF for this remote. I'm getting tired of pointing the remote at the equipment. Actually, I've been hoping I get some type of discount, the same as I gotten when I bought the 1100. Main Theater Setup:
(Panasonic 65" HDTV) (Onkyo 5008) (Onkyo M-282) (PS3 Slim 250gb)(XBOX360 4GB) (Monitor Audio - RX2's - (4)RXFX - RX CENTER) (SVS - (2)PB12 Plus) (Harmony 1100) (Monster HDP-2400) Bedroom Setup: (Samsung LN40B610) (Onkyo 805) (Sony BDP-S570)(Monster HDP-1800) (Klipsch - F2's - C2 - Quintet III's) (Personal built 10" Sub) (Harmony 880) |

Does anyone have a link to the site where you can get the tv channel icons to put into the harmony one? I can't seem to remember what the site was called but someone here had posted it way back, thanks.

My wife got me the 1100 for Christmas and since this thing is expensive, does anyone if there are protective cases for the 1100?? Some kinda hard case, silicone case or even a protective case made for some other device that's the same size as the 1100.

I have a question about controlling the RS45 via direct connection to a Harmony 1100 remote RF receiver base.
It's probably a basic one and was hoping someone could provide a quick answer. I know that the Harmony 1100 can control the RS45 via IR signal, but I would like to control it via RF/hard wire it if possible as the PJ will be above and behind where the seating area will be, inside a closet behind the rear wall, and I'm not sure how well the IR signal will get in there. I suppose I could just run an IR blaster from the RF receiver to the PJ and put the blaster in front of one of the 2 IR sensors. However, the PJ will be in a separate closet from the rest of the AV equipment, including the RF receiver of the Harmony 1100, and I know the IR blasters that I have are too short (probably at least a 10' run). I'm not sure if it is possible to purchase longer ones or to somehow extend them. So that brings me to the idea that I could try to run a direct connection from the RF receiver base to the PJ. What kind of cables would I need to control the JVC RS45 without need of line of sight using a Harmony RF receiver from over 10' away, or is this even possible? The RS45 has a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack that is labelled "Remote" on the back panel. Do I just need a basic 3.5 mm stereo mini jack connector to hook up to that "Remote" jack (#9 in the figure on p.19 of the RS45 manual)? And then do I just connect that to one of the 3.5 mm jacks in the Harmony RF receiver base? In terms of the other connections, I think the trigger terminal (#8 in manual) is for output (I guess to control a retractable screen or something?), the RS232C is for controling via a computer directly, and the LAN for control via control over ethernet, so I'm thinking none of those are what I'm looking for. In any case, I'm trying to put in an order at monoprice very soon (next hour or so) to make their shipping deadline for today and was hoping I could just throw this 3.5mm cable in there to save on shipping IF this is what I need. It's only like a buck for a 12' cable. If not, then I don't want to order it unnecessarily. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Just ordered the Harmony One today. My 3 1/2 year-old 620 decided to stop transmitting (blinking) and all Logitech Tech Support could do for me was give me a 50% off code for a remote from their website, so I got the One for $99.99 shipped. Not too shabby.
I have an old Harmony 628 for the upstairs system that's still working fine. That one has to be like 6 years old now. One question about the One, I assume the 6 custom buttons that normally are along the sides of the display now appear on the touch display once you select an activity?

I currently have the harmony 700 model. Is it worth upgrading to the harmony 1100 model? Since best buy has it for $249.99.

I own the 700 for the bedroom and the 1100 for the main room. There is so much more than you can do with the 1100 and it also looks pretty darn good setting there waiting to go to work. I originally purchased a 1000 back in the days when it cost $499.99 and when I see BB have a 1100 for $249.99, it almost makes be buy another. About 2 years ago, Harmony had a special sale on remotes, I purchased a new 1100 from them for $200 and sold my used on e-Bay for $250.00. m

I still wish they would put a quality screen in the damn thing. For $250 it should have a screen as good as my Galaxy S II.

This happens very frequently. It's the Logitech servers. They suck.

There is too much of a lag time between when you hit a button and the system responds. As an example, I would hit the volume and nothing happened. I would do it again trying to raise the volume and nothing. Then, all of a sudden the volume would raise 2-3 jumps making it to loud. All the other buttons were the same, too slow in response. I am back
