the Sony Bravia KDL-55HX729 55-Inch and the Samsung UN55D7000 55-Inch. Might have to go to the 46" versions if LOML balks at the size when I take her to see them.
Question: Anyone have any thoughts between these two? Differences, pros/cons, remotes, ease of operation, etc? Any additional info would be great! TIA. Jim.

Samsung UN55D7000 is on sale at Best Buy today for $1899.. I have the 6900 series and love it. So I would go with Samsung...

Thanks! I ordered the 55" 7000 about 45 minutes ago online for 1549.00 shipped. Got to see it in person at Sears this afternoon. Sony would have been a hundred higher. Didn't get to see it, but the N720 model did have a good picture. Samsung won out for the features and the QWERTY remote. Now to wait for it to come in. I did see the new UN55E8000 set, and it is really nice. Just couldn't do the extra dollars. The D8000 at 1650 would have been doable. But I'm sure this will be fine. Thanks! Jim.
