Default In the Mouth of Madness

Anyone else love this movie? It's one of John Carpenter's finest, most atmospheric horror films -- and it's one of his most underrated, too.

The film is listed on the site, but it says "No Release Date". I hope this means a Blu-ray is actually in the works, as I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The DVD I purchased is non-widescreen... So a Blu-ray should definitely be in order, with a solid transfer and maybe a Carpenter commentary...

It's, uh, well... It's got some good elements to it. But other than that, I think it's pretty weak. Not well made, at least compared to my favorite Carpenter movies. Very inconsistent from beginning to end.

It's my favorite of all of Carpenter's work (yes, I'm strange). I have everything Carpenter ever made (even the two Masters of Horror films) except "The Ward". The movie just struck a chord with me. I'm anticipating it's Blu-ray release and would love any extras (especially commentary with Carpenter and cast).

I've always enjoyed this movie. I don't know why, as I can't say it's particularly well made, but something about it has always held my interest. The scene with the old chick on the bike always creeps me out.

You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you. They will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.

Why is this in the DVD section? Shouldn't it be under "Wish Lists"?

Also I wholeheartedly agree, this movie needs to be on Blu-Ray along with Prince Of Darkness. IMOM and POD really scared me like no other horror film.

Yes, oddly enough I saw it for the first time on network TV several years ago, didn't know it was a Carpenter film but watched the whole thing. Would def buy if it ever came on blu.
