If you do the one month free Prime trial, can you add people with that? If so, you could do your one month free trial, then start a one year free student Prime. The people you added during the one month free trial should still be on the account.

I just paid $40 to continue Prime -- it is more than worth it in my opinion.

I have read that this is possible as well. I key is to get "regular" Prime to be able to add people.

I believe signing up for a trial is free, but if you spend a certain amount of $$ on "Mom" products then they will extend your membership for a certain amount of time.

Yep. Amazon just sent me an email saying I can continue Prime for $39. I may do it, or I may see if my friend will let me register her for a free Prime membership on Amazon and I'll use it. She never shops on Amazon.

This is correct. AMZ mom gives you 3 mos free and another month for every $25 in mom prods you buy up to a certain amount of months

Mine ended yesterday as well. I will probably get the one for students during the holidays.

For me in the long run, I probably saved tons of time and money ordering a lot of small orders and didn't have to look around for a while to see what could I get to push my order over $25. Over the past seven months, I have about 40 orders and about 30 of them were around $10.

I don't know any specifics about my purchasing history, but I have saved money as well. Plus it was fantastic to get two day shipping for Christmas orders. I'd see something I wanted for myself or others, and I could get it without worrying about the shipping fees. I think that it would be a more attractive option if Amazon would split the cost of Amazon prime into monthly payments. I dislike the idea of having to pay $79 at once, even though it is worth the money imo. But I do not have to worry about that this year I'll only pay $39.

For anyone who has Amazon student it says you get the $39 price for 4 years as long as your student status is active

They do, I just got a letter saying my prime is up in a month and they are going to give it me back for I think 35.00, which I'm going to take. Also, when you pay it, you get the streaming and everything this time.

I paid the $79 for the year this past January after the free 2-week trial you get for first signing up. I find it to be WELL worth it, especially since I can invite up to 5 family members, and my dad and I shop A LOT there.

I was yoking the prime for a good year, started with the 1 month, then it was 1 year I think with the student. And now I got it locked in for 40$ for 3 years I believe. Totally worth it, even if you add both the gas and taxes up if you were to drive to target or bb.(except when they got real good deals).

Are you saying you got three years for $40 or $40 per year?
