why the space jockeys worshiping the xenomorph(alien queen?) and sacrificing themselves as you can see it on the mural.(also on Gigers work)
question 2.-
what is that green stone front of the mural?(it was removed from the trailer screen shots)
whats with the other green stuff,on David fingers when he activates the holograms?in the control room?

He has the right idea about pretty much everything except the

[Show spoiler]xeno at the end being the very first one. The mural proves that isn't the case.

I believe it is the very first queen, created by mistake due to the chain of events that lead to her birth.

I disagree with him when he says the xenomorphish creature at the end is the first xenomorph. They have the mural on the wall of the xenomorph.

The xenomorph on the mural kind of reminds me of the one that comes out of the Engineer.

[Show spoiler]The creature we see at the end appeared much smoother, like it had an endoskeleton and skin. The mural had the traditional exoskeleton. That, and the structure of the mouth is why the I think the Prometheus xeno at the end was a proto–queen.

1. Looks more like a church mural to me.
2.big "crown"behind the xeno head ?
3.they not even mentioned it in the movie,same as with other stuff they showed us but nothing happened to it.

Murals appear everywhere in our culture. We don't worship Micky Mouse when we go to Disneyland, do we?

A full grown queen has four arms and stands at a crouch. The mural shows a standard xeno that has additional art work swirling around and through it.

He has the right idea about pretty much everything except the

[Show spoiler]I mistakenly thought that genesis pit type planet/installation was the same place in Alien, guess I should've paid more attention to the numbers the planets had.

Not sure why others are posting stuff from the movie without tags but I don't do it.

I don't see the connection. The cave-paintings tell a story of benevolent astronaughts (and where to find them)' and the murals

[Show spoiler]People seemed to have misunderstood earlier when I said Fassbender was annoying. He seemed to be operating only to see what the alien lifeforms would do when exposed to humans and/or whatever else his programming allowed him to do. I think I actually dislike him more than Ian Holm from the very first film.

I didn't mean to imply in any great way. Merely a sort of oppositional discovery for our antagonists; the optimism of finding the origin of human lineage clouded by the reality of what we can become. Depending on how you look at it, humans and xenomorphs are one in the same.

Loved it! Here's my review for those who care. Not too in depth or anything, just some initial thoughts.

[Show spoiler]Prometheus - 8/10. I was so happy to finally see this. After much anticipation and high expectations I can't say I left disappointed in the least. The entire scope of the film is enormous and the environments themselves take on a life of their own. The prologue sets the entire film up and not once does the pace falter despite what some are describing as slow. Any fan of the Alien franchise will instantly note certain references such as Dr. Holloway's observation of androids becoming very similar to human beings, a theme that would carry much weight in the original Alien film. The films philosophical points are spot on that we as humans, are always seeking answers of existence not only as a whole, but also as individuals and although completely fictional, attempts to convey the disturbing possibilities such a search would provide. I will admit at times, I got feelings of Blade Runner as that film's (also directed by Ridley Scott) central theme is the search for ones creator and longevity. I personally loved the way religion played so heavily into these films. These questions cannot be explored without eventually reverting back to it. The way the film handles it takes neither side though and it works quite well. The question of whether God exists is irrelevant, as long as you choose to believe or not. Back to Prometheus though, I was also very surprised at the devolution created for certain creatures as a more large and primitive being that worked quite well up to the final scene before the credits. The technical aspects of this film cannot be praised enough and harkens back to the attention to detail provided by the first film. Performances, especially from Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, and Idris Elba, are the central highlight of the story. Each one carries a presence when they're onscreen as these three are rarely in the same frame together so it's important that they be able to relay certain believability. Finally, Scott's use of the 2.40:1 ratio is absolutely stunning. A prime example being the study of one of the "engineers" decapitated head with it being placed center with the doctors on either side attempting to perform their own examination. It's been awhile since we've had a hard sci-fi film and for it to be brought to use by one of cinema's great directors is more than enough to recommend it.

clearly this question was not for you.

standard xeno looked different in Aliens ,so an Alien queen looks different here.
and also with the facehuggers ,I'll go for alien queen.

basically it doesn't matter what it is ,main question is why its there with the green stone front of it.?
