Best Buy Best Buy DVD Trade In

Can anyone confirm if this promotion by some odd chance is still running... The, "trade in a DVD for $5 off a Blu that's $9.99 and up."

And regardless if it's still running or not, do they allow you to trade in multiple DVD's toward the same Blu. ex: Trade in 2, $10 off. Trade in 3, $15 off etc.

I'll call later to confirm it with my BB once they open, but I'm impatient.

Sale is not currently active but usually happens about, so if pattern holds it'll be around July next. You can trade in up to 5 DVDs per visit but only 1 coupon oer item purchased.

The last Upgrade & Save sale ended on May 12th. 1 trade in per Blu-ray purchased.

Sadly the promotion is not still going on, but they have another one every few months or so. Like Undeadcow said, there will probably be another one in July. And that'd be great because there are a lot of great new titles coming out in July.

I don't think they will keep doing these things indefinitely.

I was actually surprised the last couple of times. Hopefully they do it again, but I'm not sure we can establish any kind of "pattern" like with the B&N sales.

My interest interest in this promotion has waned. The last time I was there, I got the distinct impression they local store staff resented having to comply with the promotion. The person taking my dvds scrutinized them so, as if he was looking for any reason he could find to deny the trade - fortunately, all of the ones I was trading were in like-new condition - most had only been watched once. On top of that, I think just about everything I bought during the past two trade-in promotions ended up dropping to the same price or lower before I actually watched them, essentially wasting a dvd.

That odd. Sounds like whoever is at your store is just being a dick. My local store seems to love it. They don't even look at my movies! I traded in about 25 last time (5 trips) and each time the people handed me the vouchers with receipt BEFORE eventaking my movies. They never even opened or looked at them.
