CROATIA - 3 / IRELAND - 1

Most entertaining game I've seen so far. In the end Croatia deserved the win and they're now in a great postion with the earlier draw between SPAIN-ITALY.

Both this group and Group B should prvide us with some interesting contests.

Croatia played some good soccer. Very good looking team. I don't want to say anything about the Italy/Spain game until you see it.

Yeah, honestly haven't seen an excessive amount of diving in this Euro so far.

The Italy-Spain game was the worst so far, but not nearly as bad as how Spain was last WC.

Not surprising, seeing as both nations are easily the worst offenders when it comes to diving.

Well, I didn't watch the first half, but in the second half England was dreadful. I've never seen such an offensively challenged English squad before. They're definitely lucky to have walked away from this game with a draw. Rooney can't come back soon enough for this squad.

Have you checked the ESPN Euro 2012 website? I don't know if any of the games will be broadcast on ABC, but for the opening rounds, I think ESPN will be the sole broadcaster.

Yes they are.

France sucks at bringing more forwards in the box and shooting outside the box. Frustrating to watch at times. Also Gerrard and your goalie were very good. Especially that save on Diarra header.

In France's defense, England did have just about every player in the box defending, so it's not the easiest of tasks to break that wall down, but the way France went about was a little frustrating. They didn't adapt to what they were seeing from the English defense and didn't make adjustments in the second half.

I have: during the last World Cup. The absence of Rooney is evident on the pitch and on the score sheet. Luckily, they have an easy draw, being assigned to Group D, so their chances of moving on are pretty good.

So frustrating how often soccer teams play not to lose rather than to win. -_-

A perfect example of that is this Sweden/Ukraine game. A real yawner thus far.

lol, I guess it's a good thing I only watched the second half then, which was actually pretty exciting.

Boy did he take over, what a great second half
When i got home that evening, I went straight to the garage and practiced my draw and SHOUT techniques as well as my roll, somersault and aim drills and made myself a promise that I would never ever be caught off-guard again.-dfinch
