Hi,
May i ask what brand your plasma tv is ? Since some members here have complained that by cleaning their samsung plasma with mild damp cloth with mild soap solution has resulted in either pealing of the anti reflective coating or patches appearing in the finish of the plasma panel. But i use white hand kerchief which is slightly damp..i.e the cloth on the verge of drying completely. Then i use the soft yellow cloth that we use in cars to wipe the windshield clean. My plasma tv is from panasonic and iam doing this every now & then.Since my 3 year old son keep touching the screen with his hands, just after taking his food. Till now i do not have any problem doing so.But using cleaners or chemical based detergents could have ill effects to the anti-glare coating which is used more commonly in most modern plasma tv's.And do not press or exert pressure on the screen, mostly the middle section, they may at times crack.I had seen that happen in one of the youtube videos ! love, kris.

That is how I have always cleaned my plasmas, even in dusty rooms. Never use some of the cheaper microfiber clothes, the fibers are too coarse most of the time. The best would be to use the ones made to clean lenses.

As said, a microfiber cloth and distilled water. Make sure the distilled water is at room temperature and also clean your screen first thing in the morning or when they TV has been off for a long period. The reason is you don't want to clean a plasma screen that is warm and want it cold. This way you won't have a smudge mark from the room temp water hitting a warm screen..

So i've put off cleaning the screen for a few months as i've been busy/lazy.. But now it's starting to really bother me. So i'll get some distilled water, but can someone recommend a good micro finer cloth. I'm not a good judge on what to buy when it comes to this. Thanks!

I tend to use Monster Screen Clean but make sure it says "Alcohol-Free" on the package, as apparently they used to make it with alcohol added and I am sure there could be some of that still floating around on the market.
I have noticed that while it is good, and a bottle will last a long time, I tend to go over the screen with a slightly warm wet microfiber towel and then dry with another to get any residue from the Monster Screen Clean off the screen. I too have a Panasonic but my plasma is a little over 4 years old.

I would simply spend the $20 and pick up a bottle of Monster ScreenClean, it will last a long time. Make sure to get the Alcohol-Free formula. After I use it, is there is any streaks, I use a terry cloth towel or microfiber towel with cold water on it rung out good and go over the screen.
