Congrats on the car thought. I've always been a fan of the infinities.

How was your vaca with the fellas Derrell?
EJ, we don't drive like that all the time. BTW the Infiniti cars are very reliable and even driving them on the highway at 85 MPH they will still get 26 MPG on the hwy. I went 520 miles on a tank of gas driving down to Tampa florida.

I am not a speed demon lol. My last two cars were a 2003 Lincoln LS V8 family sedan, and a 2007 chevy avalanche. Both are very far from sports cars lol. I can admit that I have already been pulled over and I am sure it was based on what I drive and not how fast I was going because I didnt get a ticket.

Thanks on the congrats.

Vaca with the fellas was cool. Miami was cool. I enjoyed it. The wife and I are going to the Bahamas in July and I am really looking foward to that. That will be a true vaca where I actually rest and relax. Any vacations planned for yourself?

Nothing here.............been trying to set some time aside for myself this summer, but so far I haven't been able to. Seems like there always something else going on. I am going to a concert this month (Jill Scott and Kem). They are two of my all time favs so I am definitely looking forward to it. I am also going to try and make a mini vacation out of it.
You know of any cool things to do in D.C?

I know man.....I'm sure they are reliable and VERY fun to drive. I am a Honda guy myself. I've had multiple Accords for years now. All I do are oil changes, tires and breaks. The maintenance on these thing are next to nothing. I do however drive my other baby every now and again. Usually on the weekends and when it snows.

I've had this one for a while now, and I've added my little touches to it. I wouldn't call it practical though.

Is that an Audi? I love them and they arent to common where I am. My first choice was an Audi S5. I had found one in texas with everything I wanted. It was an 09. It just came down to having a car note or not. I chose the infiniti because I was able to pay the difference cash after I traded in my truck. The audi would have been alot more to pay after my trade plus it was in Texas and the maintenance on those things are crazy.

You should always make time for a getaway. It is needed. I was feeling burned out before my Miami trip. I feel alot better now. Kem and Jill Scott are great artist. That will be a nice concert. Never been to DC but I here it is nice trip. I will probably take a trip there one day soon. My wife wants to go to new york soon so we may do that and do a day trip to dc. If I am not mistaken, it is not that bad of a drive., correct?

Yeah....its an Audi A4. I would have gotten a S4 or S8 too! But they are damm expensive and cost lots of $$$ to fix. I've taken it to my neighborhood mechanic from time to time and he just gives me this look . Even an oil change is a pain in the butt sometimes. But I love driving it and I love how it looks . I am a sucker for Audi's.....what can I say. I have a guy who only works on German cars and he is the only person I let touch the car if something goes wrong. He is also affordable for which I am very grateful. Other then that, I am probably going to keep buying more Honda's.

As for the NY to DC trip.......its about a 4-5 hour drive by car. The trip there won't be too bad. But once you get to either place, I wouldn't recommend driving. Last time I was in DC it was one of the worse driving experiences of my life. NY is......well I am sure you've heard about that. DC has a very good/clean train system from what I saw last time I was there and you can always walk or take a cab in NYC. That's what I recommend!!!!!
So where are the pic's of this new Infinity?

That is reason I didnt get the Audi. Price and maintenance cost on top of that. Maybe in a couple of years.

I wouldnt dare try to drive in either city. But I would rent a car to drive to dc and park it when I get there and drive back and return it in NYC

I had them in Aces Thread. They are crappy iphone pics. but here they go.

Well guys unfortunately this car purchase will hender me get the 802's this year. Just not in the budget to do both. I am still putting together a system but it will not be my dream system. I am going to try and pull of the 804diamonds but the wife is giving me heat now that I have already begun ordering some mods for my car. She says I can't do it all this year so I need to make up my mind whether I want to mod the car and have a decent system or keep the car stock for now and put together a nice system but not as big as before. I still have to buy a small pickup because I believe everyman should own a truck, well at least here in the south. So with all that taken into account 802di's are just not in the cards. It will be nice but not killer lol. I dont regret purchasing the car at all. Not having a system for the past couple of months has allowed me to get back into other hobbies I enjoy so I am ok with my decision.

I can vouch for the DC driving. Especially since I got a ticket and my car towed there. DC gave me a NYC vibe even though I have never been to NYC. Traffic was horrible all day long. It's just a mad house there.

Derrell where are you located? bf1980 is selling his rosewood cm9's but I think he wants local pickup in nyc.

To Far, I am in memphis, tn. Unfortunately even if I was close, I get them much cheaper NIB than what he is selling them for. I saw his ad on audiogon. Thanks though.

Yea the price seemed a bit high but I haven't checked out b&w prices for a couple years now.

His price is ok for a used mint pair. They retail for 3k. So he may be a little high now that I think about it. who actually pays retail.

That was my point exactly. They may be mint but he also has had them a decent amount of years now. I use to admire his setup. Curious why he is selling them. You demoed other speakers or are you sold on B&W? I always found them a bit overpriced for what they were. What really turned me off was demoing B&W (all models) cm7s. I think they are cm8s now but I couldn't believe what they cost and the crap sound they made. The cm9s I liked with Audio Research tube gear. I demoed it with rega turntable along with 800 models. Those were nice but I didn't want that tweeter on top like that. Figured as much as I moved they'd get damaged.
