Just ordered a brand new Velodyne SMS-1 from Amazon.
I want to get the best performance possible out of my new dual PB13-NSD's.
Couldn't believe how cheap these were going for.

Nice audioholics has a great guide on the dos and don’ts of using it. One example you never want to boost or lower anything to high or low (like + or -2 or 3db max). We can’t fix huge dips and valleys with eqing.

Yep, when the fedex guy took the box out of the truck, I was like "oh shit, damn,... that is big". I can't imagine what my reaction will be if I see a PB 13 Ultra box in person

cr136124 if I could make a small suggestion. Try not to have any of the sliders on your sms-1 to high or too low. I wouldn’t move any of them higher or lower than 4db per tops. I try to only use it to only lower peaks. With the subs you have you don’t need anything really bumped up. I’m guessing that was an auto eq program that you ran? The sms-1 isn’t too good on the auto set up. It tries too hard to fix dips and peaks with the eq when those big ones aren’t fixable with the eq. That’s why you have a few that are maxed. If it went all the way to 100 it would have moved it all the way to 100 trying to fix it. The auto only works if you already have a pretty flat response.

Yep, it was the auto eq program. Thanks for the suggestion, it is noted and probably this weekend (more time available), I will do a manual calibration.

Beautiful set-up....very classy and without sacrificing performance. Please do create a gallery again. The site did crash and we were between back-ups at the time, so of course, that is when the site crashed.

By the way....that room/wall is screamin' for a bigger picture.......perhaps a projector could be in your future?

I'll work this weekend on my gallery again, only sad part of that is that few forum members left me some kind comments on my previous gallery and well, those comments are gone now.

Yes, my plan is to buy a 92" fixed screen and an Epson projector, but my AV budget for this year is gone.

So, I'm hoping to upgrade the screen next year (2013).

Very cool.....my screen is 92" and my TV behind it is 46", so going to a picture twice as big makes a huge difference.......and for the better.

Epson makes great projectors....are you going 3D?
