The Hunger Games Best Buy Exclusive? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm not sure if there is a thread for this already, but i noticed on Best Buy's site today that they have a listing for The Hunger Game Best Buy Exclusive. Does anyone Know if this is a steelbook? I'm curious cause FutureShop is getting one so it would seem that its possible that this could be one?

This preorder price is 49.99 which seem about right for a starting point for a steelbook. The price will come down i'm sure as its release gets closer!

well seeing as though canada is getting a steelbook, HMV uk has as a steelbook, im pretty sure bestbuy will get one as well but $49.99 seems a bit steep for a steelbook imo sounds like its something more for that price

Best Buy wouldn't price a steelbook that high ($49.99 current, $57.98 retail). Must be something substantial.

Yeah I don't know how they expect us to do a blind pre-order at that price. They need to give us some more info.

It's some sort of cube box packaging. There were pictures floating around in a couple of threads about the Canadian Future Shop Steelbooks.

After seeing a larger pic on how the discs would be held in that cube packaging... I'd much rather have a Steelbook or even just a normal case.

Here's hoping that the "limited edition Hunger Games collectible that will be numbered, available exclusively at Best Buy." is something pretty amazing... or Target will probably walk way with a ton more sales (especially given the price tag of the cube)

Yeah, if the Target version has more extras than all the other releases, then it's the version to get.

Wow - that ain't no digipak, but that's pretty serious looking.

Great for real fans of the film. Retailers are banking on this movie for sure. You've got Target, Walmart, and now Best Buy, plus the 2 different SB's from FS and now UK.

If there are any international members that are interested in having, please PM me. I'd be willing to send to you for either trade or for future trade. I've ordered the Target one as well.

I just don't like the faces on the box. it'll get old on the shelf pretty quick. Those are not faces I wanna see everyday.
