This. Although for me, I think the flood only consists of Once Upon A Time and Homeland. Still..ouch for that day and for August in general.

They have until midnight tomorrow to match, but it looks pretty bad.

I'm really going to dial back on pre-orders if this doesn't get matched.

I do look forward to watching the movie. Emily Blunt is wonderul in everything and my wife and I just loved her in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, which sadly didn't get seen by many people, despite being a VERY good film.

There was no way to predict this at all. If they don't match, this will the first major release they haven't in a while to my knowledge. I know this didn't do well at the box office and isn't getting much attention here, but it still qualifies regardless. They matched everything that is coming out today but this days ago, which makes no sense.

I'm in the same boat as you. I pre-ordered this long ago with the Gold Box discount and kept my pre-order because I thought they'd match by now. I know some people will frown on this, but my copy is going back (minus slipcover) as defective if they don't match at some point this week. Even if they don't match it by the end of the day today, as long as they do it at some point this week, I'll pester them for a refund of the difference since there's no reason why they haven't adjusted the price by now already. I also sent them notifications of the price for a good 5 minutes straight this morning.

You're probably aware of this but just in case. Be careful about returning things.

I know about the potential to get banned, but I'm not worried. I've only exchanged things legitimately before, and it hasn't been that often. This would be the first time I would return something for this, but it's still very possible I won't have to. The one thing that has me worried is that they haven't been this slow to match a new release in a while. That I can remember at least.

There used to be a time I would've been worried about being banned. I doubt that I'd care as much now. Amazon has gone downhill for me ever since I got stuck with a horrible fulfillment center. If they actually start not reliably matching Target/Best Buy ad prices, I'll be done pre-ordering and possibly only use them for catalog titles that aren't sold in stores.

I'd still be surprised if this doesn't drop by the end of the day. I think it is silly for them not drop the price as soon as these ads are out there. It seems like their success is making them more and more complacent.

It actually wasn't too bad. It was a good story, raised some good questions and it was pretty funny throughout. It could have been better but it was a lot better than recent Apatow fare.

KilloWertz's mocking my worries about such a thing happening was bound to bite me in the butt.

I'll leave it sealed for a couple of days to see if they try and match a day or two after.

And if this is $17.99 in BB's next ad, it's going back.

Otherwise, as "sucky" as this is, I'd have spent about $1.60 less at BB (with tax), so I'm not going to send it back unless they pull something, like match later this week.

I would have cancelled this order by Sunday night, but because of the holiday, they shipped it by FedEx on Saturday.

I'm still going to use Amazon, but as others have mentioned, I'm going to be a lot more careful with pre-orders. The free shipping I get from Prime is still wonderful, but if I have to order "late" and not get my new release until Thursday, so be it.

Mine hasn't even shipped yet! I've been seeing more and more items that aren't being shipped for release date delivery any longer. Not that I'm in a hurry... But, I'm probably going to go to Best Buy later anyway since they have those gift card deals with tv releases. I could've just picked this up there.

I've been having to try and wait to pre-order, anyway, since I now try to make sure items have a good chance of getting grouped together so they might get shipped in a box rather than have a pile of bubble mailers outside of my door. This is the only thing I had coming this week, so I'm not expecting it to arrive in great shape...

Well, if you have Prime and ordered this before the cutoff date for 2 day, release day shipping, they will either have a courier deliver it to you today OR you are entitled to have you Prime membership extended by one month at no cost to you.
