Got home tom find this package waiting for me. Impressed with www.rhythmhouse.in!! took all of three working days to get to me, plus no customs charge! I always take an opportunity to get some of my golden oldies and classical cd's. Was surprised to find Panchamda's Harjaee available. Great songs... Mee Raksam and Kherishu Varishu!!
Gonna watch Rockstar tonight! Am all psyched up to hear 'Kun Faya Kun'. 'Sadda Haq' and 'Nadaan Parinde' in DTS-HD Master audio!
Flipped through the Dev. D blu ray. Was impressed by what i seen and heard so far. Will try to post a review once i am done watching.

Looking forward to your Dev.D remarks. I was underwhelmed by the screenshots, but I guess it should still be much better than the DVD, right?

Will do ravenus, yes, much better than the DVD. I have the DVD as well, but this is definitely a worthy upgrade from what i have seen. Colours are vivid and very detailed. The screenshots dont do justice at all, just checked them out as well.
Heard the 'Dholna' song and it is giving my receiver a good workout.

Bees Saal Baad is a loose adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes novel Hound of The Baskervilles, with neither hound nor Holmes, but it is fairly atmospheric in parts. There is a sleuth in the story but he's a buffoon played by Asit Sen. I am more impressed by the other film made by the same director, Kohraa, an unofficial adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca, that to mine eye is a bit more effective than Hitchcock's film. Probably because I saw the Hindi film as a kid and was absolutely terrified in some parts.

^Nice. I'm surprised you got mad mad world on DVD because it's supposed to have an excellent blu-ray release which at least on Amazon.com has often gone to the sub-10$ bracket.
That BBC version of Hound...was quite terrible IMO. I much prefer the Basil Rathbone film, the Peter Cushing film (Hammer) and the Jeremy Brett feature-length episode from Granada TV.

wanted blu ray badly , but i dont order from amazon usa , as uk takes sometimes month to reach and i heard shipping via usa takes so many days.

plus shop and ship would be costly , plus custom is guarantee.

its sad not released in uk.

i found bbc version quite ok , flipkart had 2 version other was i think feature film from jeremy brett , is it worth for double dip ?

i would love to double dip mad mad world if it gets uk release

edit just saw flipkart and infibeam has mad mad world blu ray released from excel anyone has it ? is video quality same ? excel rarely screws quality

^ I'm a Sherlock Holmes buff so I would pick everything up. But yes, I consider the other Baskervilles films I mentioned as far superior to the last one. The story is not very significantly different but they're a lot more respectful to the spirit of the original Arthur Conan Doyle characters.
Btw US BD of Mad Mad world has a very substantial "Making of" on it. Maybe you want to check if Indian version also has that before buying.

@mrbrat Boy:
Now look what you made me do. Ordered the Dev.D blu-ray off Induna

^The Artist is a lot more light-hearted than Kagaz ke Phool and the story is only slightly similar. Definitely worth the watch, although I don't know if it has much repeat value. The actor and director that made this film previously made a couple of French films called OSS 117, which is like a Sean Connery era James Bond meets Inspector Clouseau type spoof. They are fun movies. Sadly the blu-rays are available only in France and the bonus features AFAIK don't have any subtitles.

Really interesting information Ravenus, i havent watched any of these movies. But i totally love the soundtracks, some of Hemant Kumar finest work. Kohraa's songs are mesmerising... ' O Beqarar Dil', 'Jhoom Jhoom Dhalti Raat' are goosebumps material! Will have to watch Kohraa now. Any suggestions for a good DVD?

There's no such thing as a good DVD of Kohraa. Moser Baer is all you get, so got for it.
Also, Raat Aur Din is a very interesting psychological mystery with Nargis brilliantly playing a split personality woman. Good soundtrack too.
