I would since Nolan said he thought it would be disrespectful to Ledger.

If Nolan were just lying to keep the surprise, he would have just said something like "No, Joker played his part and we're moving on to something else now." I wouldn't have thought it disrespectful to recast or use the Joker in some small way, but after knowing Nolan said it would be disrespectful, if he actually did do it, I would be kind of offended.

I guess I should clarify it, I wouldn't be mind seeing the joker look-a-like escaping from jail or something, and from a top down camera angle, so you don't know if it's him or not. Seeing as Nolan said it would be disrespectful I kinda changed my mind, a tad.

Why? All that could be done with the character was explored perfectly in Dark Knight. A random look-alike cameo would be cheap and diminishing. I'm glad they aren't pulling that crap.

Looks great except for the fight scenes. Those punches look so fake. It is so obvious that they aren't hitting each other.

He does get his ass whupped in a straight up fight in the beginning judging by the trailers because he's been out for all them years while the manhunt was on and is out of practice and rusty, then he likely is reborn in that prison which is the tie back to the Batman Begins movie i reckon and then the scene where he is trying to escape was the 'rise' indicator.

When he gets back to Gotham, everythings gone to hell and he's ready to battle Bane i think. Although i won't know how right or wrong i am till 8.20am Friday July 20th

The only issue I have is the shape of the flame/explosion. I have no idea what is going on. It doesn't look natural and it's not clear enough to tell if it's supposed to represent something.
