I really think the NBA is different when it comes to winning titles. In other sports like MLB and NFL it's more of a team game. Guys often get stuck playing for one team in the NFL for most or all of their career and it it's lousy team they have no chance. Barry Sanders or most running backs are a good example. In MLB one superstar player doesn't have a big enough effect to carry a team to a title.

With the NBA I think people are far more impatient to see a superstar win a championship since it's a superstar league and one or two stars with a decent supporting cast can win a title. I think had LeBron staying in Cleveland he literally could have ended up retiring one day with just one or two rings and he could have been heaped with praise. Expectations were lower there. Thing is going to Miami to join up with another superstar raised the expectations considerably, rightly or wrongly.

Amazing. Took OKC <4 minutes to blow a 14 point lead after the first quarter.

Okay, Ibaka may have just broken Wade's tailbone or something... Ouch.

Miami's lucky to be in this game. Really lazy on the boards.

Well I'm not gonna go that far. He did make a Super Bowl and had freaking Don Shula as his coach so he did have help at some point in his career. The Dolphins were in the playoffs a lot during Marino's career especially early on.

Anyway back to the NBA.

He didn't score a lot but LeBron isn't too far from a triple-double at halftime with 10/6/8.

Huge 3rd quarter for Miami. Miami by 4 heading into the 4th. Another game coming down to the wire.

Second game in a row Harden can't make a shot. Just missed an easy fast break layup.

Harden is having a Lebronesque Finals... I believe he's 4 for his last 19.

Well, it's going to be hard not calling LeBron clutch with the way he's played all game tonight. He just nailed a perfect 3 right in Sefolosha's face. Seems he might finally be asserting himself at crunch time.

Westbrook has almost single-handedly kept OKC in the game.

Well Sefelosha was playing him a little soft (I dunno why) but LBJ is seriously hurting right now, so color me impressed. Did you see him point toward the basket when Wade thought about passing him the ball on that same possession? It looked like "No, you take it" to me; LBJ just has no explosiveness/agility right now. Time for Wade to take over again in the fourth quarter, perhaps.
