Might get this over the Viva Metalcase since it ticks all the right boxes, and is actually a steelbook. ^_^

I really hope it isn't G1 size, as the picture seems to show.

love the artwork for this, will def be picking up a version with the same artwork but def not G1.

Two possible reasons:

1) It's G1
2) Since the site crash two weeks ago the forum has changed a lot.

Which is the Viva Metal Case? the one sold on hmv? it looks identical to this one

That's undetermined. It only LOOKS G1 because of that picture. No-one is 100% sure yet.

If it's G2 then I'll go for this one over the UK HMV exclusive, assuming it's definately a steelbook.

I just hate the spine on the UK one with all the faces on it.

FutureShop in Canada has been confirmed as a Viva Metal case. And, it is identical IN DESIGN to this Italian release... except maybe for the size, which has yet to be determined.

HMV is a steelbook, but doesn't have the film title anywhere on it, including the spine. Instead they put small thumbnail images of all of the characters down the length of the spine without any text. It is believed that they did this to eliminate having to put that terrible "Marvel's Avengers Assemble" title on it for the UK as many fans think that title sounds ridiculous.

I don't get it. This listing has it down as 2 disk with a bonus 90 minute making of documentary but surely that has to be wrong considering it was posted before that was a UK exclusive feature.

Also, i take it this is the 2D version only so Amazon.de and their 3D version is possibly the only 3D steelbook in europe right?

I think I will actually stick with FS metal case. Never had a metal case so a FS exclusive avengers seems like a good place to start. But will probably get both

This looks better than the HMV one. The correct title and spine. Hope it is not a DVD-sized case.
