I'm not a Bruce Springsteen fan, so Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here gets my vote. Plus, the album is just damn great in general.
EDIT: Now this poll got me listening to WYWH again. PSN/Steam ID: kotsedriver "I spent two years mourning you. So if we're going to try this, I need to know you're always coming back." - Liara T'Soni, Mass Effect Series Formerly known as kotsedriver Last edited by GLaDOS; 06-21-2012 at 12:13 PM. |

I think WYWH is a much better full-album experience, though I enjoy the songs that I like on BTR much more than WYWH.
What I'm saying is that I like every track on the PF record, and only a handful on the Bruce record. But the handful of Bruce songs? I like them each far more than anything on the PF record. |

Springsteen is my favorite artist so it's an easy choice. I like Floyd, but obviously a good deal less than the members of this forum.

I agree. WYWH is one of those albums thats perfect as a full listen from start to finish.
Walk down the right back alley in Sin City, and you can find anything.

I think this comparison would come down to personal taste. I don't think you can actually say which one was better. I would choose if pressed to pick Wish You Where Here but that would only be beacuse I like Pink Floyd a little more. Both albums are great and very important in musical history. But not sure either are the best of 75.......
Also that same year you have a few more that could vie for a top spot: Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks, Queens A Night at the Opera, Led Zeps Physical Graffitti, Horses by Patti Smith, Kiss Alive, Roxy Music Siren, Elton John's Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy and Neil Youngs Tonights the Night etc.
Why do studios continue to re-release films on BD when so many catalog titles still are not released?
Wants on BD: La Dolce Vita and La Strada (Criterion), Somewhere in Time, Time After Time, Hooper, King Kong (1976), Urban Cowboy, Murder By Death and The Burbs |
