I ordered from Amazon, and estimated delivery date was today, but I have not received it and I wanted to watch it, as I have not watched it for a while and want to see it in all it's glory

I want to get the Life Of Brian, but if it is going to released as a Sony Classic title, then I would rather wait as I have all those titles so far

Life of Brian is already released as a Sony Classic in Scandinavia. Not sure of the spine number.

Does the UK Holy Grail include the iTunes voucher for the iPad app which costs £2.99
In the US I thought they were including a voucher to cover the cost.

No voucher in my case. Had to buy the app seperately.

Thanks for letting me know.
Even if I buy the US release I bet the voucher will not work on the UK AppStore.

Yes, there IS a slipcover! There's also a code inside for "MovieExtras".
I've just reached "A famous historian". The video quality is good so far! Nothing incredible, but still a good transfer for a film of the 1970's. There's still some flickering from light to dark throughout the film, but I think that may have been an issue with the DVD as well.

And just to confirm (not that everybody didn't know already), but there is only one disc, no DVD copy. The iPad sync feature is included in this release, and I'll try it out later.

I've looked over the new bloopers and deleted scenes too. It's really cool to see archive footage that we never knew existed before. Makes me wonder how much more archive footage exists for other movies around this time period.
Monday morning, STILL waiting for my order from TheHut to dispatch.

I normally order with Amazon who I'm almost certain would've shipped it Friday/Saturday for the latest for delivery today. I thought I'd try TheHut though as they were cheaper.

I hope this isnt what theyre like or I'll go back to ordering with Amazon Prime.
PRE-Ordered: The Little Mermaid 3D (US), Aladdin (Steelbook)

Wishlist: The Prince of Egypt

Amazon will almost always ship the weekend before release or sometimes on the Monday.

Problem with theHut group including Zavvi is if they don't ship early you can get a 1 or 2 week delay which is not unusual for them. They seem to fail to order stock or get at the price they want to cover their low price for release day.

For example this week they failed to ship for today's release Holy Grail from Sony and Yellow Sea from Bounty Films via Eureka (Eureka had this in stock direct well over a week ago)

Yeah, Holy Grail is still listed as Awaiting Stock.

If TheHut group have a reputation for doing this i guess I'll stay away from them, especially with pre-orders. I mean, whats the use of pre-ordering if it isnt even shipped on release day (when it SHOULD already be at my house)!

What the hell...

[quote]We're sorry that your order for the product(s) below has not yet been sent.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

We're sorry this has happened. We're continuously looking for ways to improve the service we offer to you and we really hope you'll give us a chance to do better next time.

We're still following this up with our suppliers and we'll keep you updated on the status of your order.[/quite]

It's half a week since this title was released and they still have shipped it (still not stock)!!

What a first experience with TheHut. I'll probably never use them again, especially not for a saving of a few pounds...

Now, to cancel and order with the reliable Amazon or wait for these people to sort themselves out...

Actually, don't The Hut Group run the online Entertainment sales for supermarkets (Tesco and some others)? Are these customers subject to the same treatment? If they do, and if I was Mr Tesco (or whoever) I'd cancel the contract)

Pretty sure Tesco Entertainment are a different company than TheHut group.

In all the years of using TheHut they have only ever delayed sending a pre-order once and after a week I switched my order to Amazon which cost £2 more and that order then got lost in the post so I ended up paying more and waiting longer by using Amazon than just waiting for TheHut to get stock which they did pretty much the day I switched my order lol

Has anyone watched their copy yet? The only review gives the PQ a 1.5.

I've watched it a few times. It's not going to give Avatar a run for its money in the PQ stakes but its better than a 1.5. I'd give it 3.5 at least and its a vast improvement over my old DVD copy.
