If you ever get the chance, get them. My UPA-1's really opened up the front soundstage and expanded the dynamic range of the speakers.

Yeah. I have Energy RC series which I think could benefit. It is either monos or just get a XPA-3.

I started with the XPA-3, but eventually felt that perhaps the monoblocks could add something since each speaker would have its own power source. Can't say for sure if I detected anything, but at least I have peace of mind knowing that I don't have any possible crosstalk between channels.

Hey I was wondering would this work for the Amp? XPA-5

http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-Ul.../dp/B003U75RT4

Or does it have to be specifically designed Audio cables for like 100+ bucks and blue Jeans?

Thanks

As long as they are RG59 or RG6 rated, you should be OK.

cool. Thank You. Yea I checked it out and I'm not quite sure how long it needs to be but 20 and some change is fair enough for 3X10ft cables. I'm trying to get good quality stuff but it doesn't have to be professional grade stuff. I don't even have my own house yet so this is a bedroom set up. Hopefully in March of 2014 I will have it plan on saving for a house starting Sept. Then it is gonna be a whole new ball game. I can't wait but at the same time I am afraid of how far it will go. LOL

That's funny dude. You live right by my brother and looking at your pic gallery a few months back when you commented on my HT gallery. However that comment is gone now. I remember thinking that looks like a house that would be in Orland. Looked like houses in my bro's neighborhood

Default xpa-5/biamping?

I am looking to purchase a home theater and was going to buy Reference Studio 100's and the 690 CC. Would the Studio 100's be able to be bi-amped from an XPA-5 and use the additional channel to power the 690...Any opinions would be appreciated.

If you mean to use 4 of the XPA 5's channels for left and right speakers AND use the remaining channel to power your center, then by all means the answer is yes.

However; you will get superior results bi amping using multiple amplifiers because of the multiple power supplies, this is to say that 2 seperate amplifiers would power one speaker.

Kindest regards,

HTinP

Hey I was just curious do you guys turn the amp on and off or do you just leave it on? I always leave my power conditioner on. That's Okay right? I would assume it is fine. I just know people turn it off so I was just curious if there is a right or wrong thing to do with the amplifier and the Power conditioner or is it just whatever you prefer.

Thank You.
