Default Safety Not Guaranteed Trailer & Poster

Quote:
The trailer and poster are now online, courtesy of iTunes Movie Trailers, for Colin Trevorrow's Safety Not Guaranteed, a time travel comedy that stars Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass, Jake Johnson, Kristen Bell, Jenica Bergere, Jeff Garlin, Karan Soni, Lynn Shelton and Mary Lynn Rajskub. Check them both out below!

Set for release on June 8th through FilmDistrict, Safety Not Guaranteed is based on a real ad placed in Backwoods Home Magazine and features a trio of magazine employees sent to investigate a classified ad seeking a partner for time travel. Darius (Plaza), a cynical aspiring journalist, poses as a candidate to accompany Kenneth (Duplass), a paranoid but compelling loner, but her motivations become confused when she develops feelings for him and begins to wonder whether he is really building a time machine.

Looks like a Semi-interesting movie.

I've finished a third draft of my latest script. Which is a comedy called "Life As Liz" with Jen being in mind written as the lead. It's my 12th script.

I noticed the one from The League as in this. Plus love Kristen Bell.

I saw this recently and guess what? It's yet another top-notch rom-com. That makes it three quality rom-coms already this year (along with Moonrise Kingdom, and Ruby Sparks). But although it's not as great as those two, it's still very solid all-around. Impressive feature debuts by the director Trevorrow and writer Connolly, and enjoyable performances by the main cast, namely Plaza, Johnson (he's hilarious in this), Soni, and Duplass. The ending may be divisive (a lot of people were talking about it on the way out), but personally, either way, it would still be a great film. If you're a fan of smart, un-Hollywood rom-coms and some sci-fi and time traveling, go see this surprising little movie.

I was going to see Prometheus today but decided to see this one instead.

A+ film! One of the best films of the year and Aubrey Plaza is now one of my new favorite actresses. It's about time she got a leading role - really a beautiful woman too!

Yeah, Plaza was a little surprising. I can't believe she was able to hold her own as a leading lady in a quality film. I always thought of her as a supporting type of actress.

5/10? I'm becoming increasingly opposed to the reviews on this site. It's just opinion, I understand, but I thought this film was wonderful.

I thought it was a preview and not a review?

So why's it listed under Reviews? And what's he rating, the trailer?

Looks fantastic. And as with most non-mainstream movies that look fantastic (e.g. Moonrise Kingdom), it isn't playing anywhere near me.

I have no idea, but it does say preview on this one, unless there is another.

Yeah, 5/10 is harsh. There's nothing average about the movie at all.

At least it's better than the 1/5 user reviews that usually pop up here for almost every movie.

The review on here means nothing to me though (with all due respect). I'll be blind buying this when it comes out on Blu-ray. Like some other people have said, it's not playing anywhere near me. The trailer and glowing critic reviews all sold me on this long before there was a review here.

Fantastic movie and it in my top three I've seen this year (21 Jump Street, Safety Not Guaranteed, Cabin in the Woods). Very funny overall and had a great story driving it. This year has been a great year for movies so far now that I look back (Prometheus, Jeff Who Lives At Home, Moonrise Kingdom to name a few in addition).

To my surprise, after asking my theater a couple different times to get this they informed me it's opening on Friday. So excited . Didn't think I'd get a chance to see it theatrically. Can't wait to see it.

Hmmm, does that work? I never thought about making requests.
