What are some of your most memorable underrated acting performances that you felt didnt get the respect they deserved?
My List 1. Dustin Hoffman as Ratso Rizzo (Midnight Cowboy) 2. Andy Serkis as Caesar (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) 3. Mekhi Phifer as Mitch (Paid in Full) 4. Aaron Ruell as Kipland Dynamite (Napoleon Dynamite) 5. Akosua Busia as Nettie Harris (The Color Purple) more to come!!!

Sylvester Stallone - Rocky. He should have won at least one of the two he was nominated for.
Liam Neeson - Schindler's List. Sorry Tom Hanks was excellent in Philadelphia but to me Neeson's performance was the best. Roy Scheider - All That Jazz. A great and totally unexpected performance. |

Im still upset Albert Brooks not only didnt win Best Supporting Actor for Drive, but he didnt even get nominated.

Yes I have and Peter Finch was excellent, over the top but still excellent. Did he deserve it yes a pity he was not still with us when he was announced the winner. Like I said Stallone should have won one of the two he was up for, either actor or writer. If I had to choose I probably would have went with Finch as well because he had done so much before and was due. Stallone was a newcomer and I think that may have worked against him. To me one is as good as the other.
