Pick one in the poll for whatever reason and then rank the remaining two.
1. Schwarzenegger 2. Willis 3. Stallone The Terminator is the most badass character to ever appear in an action film. Expendables 2 is coming soon and I hope it'll live up to the billing this time. |

I like all three but for the time (80's Action Films) I don't think anyone was as big as Schwarzenegger. I still remember the buzz when an Arnold movie was getting ready to be released.

Not that easy a call, kid. Consider that Stallone was ripping up the box office with Rambo II at the same time Arnold had Raw Deal (god please no) and Commando, and it's not quite the same. Stallone burnt out in the late 80's with Rambo III, but that was Arnold's domain, with Predator, The Running Man and Total Recall. By the time the 80's had come to a close Arnold was the world's greatest action star, and Stallone had burnt out 2 franchises.
Who would have thought that by 1993 it would have turned around...

Let's see if I can picture all three men in a Thunderdome-style arena with chainsaws and spiked gauntlets and...oh hell, I'll just imagine them using their bare hands.
Schwarzenegger and Stallone both have very raw muscle power; probably enough to take out Willis. Willis is cool and all, but he's not quite as big as these guys. Between Ahhhnold and Sly, it's a tough call. I love Arnold more and in the past he probably would have won out on muscle mass alone. As the governator, however, I think he's lost a lot of that mass. Stallone, ugly though he is now, still has a lot of muscle, and it could be enough to overpower Arnie. Thus, I think in a fight, Stallone would win. In secondary categories, Arnold would win for his filmography (can't beat the "Terminator" films), and Bruce would win in the character/acting category (thanks largely to his role as John McClaine, among others).

I went with Arnold. I was a fan of all his hits and I even liked movies like Red Heat, Raw Deal, Commando, etc. I just ate up anything he dished out during this time period. Stallone would be a close second with Cobra, Rambo, Rocky IV, Tango & Cash, etc. Willis is badass in Die Hard, but his time was more early 90's to now...like in the sequels and Sin City.
