great, finally!! the UK is getting TBBT on BD goodness, sick and tired of paying crazy prices for US BD imports just few months ago, £25+ EACH for seasons 3 & 4, and came with dented slipcases too, £25 can get all 4 seasons and more on DVD here.

so is the complete seasons 1-5 BD definitely coming to the UK? notice it's not available to order on amazonUK whereas the season 5 BD is. Will stop importing anymore seasons from the US if the UK is getting the complete set of BDs. Also will the UK BDs be the same/identical as the US BDs? nothing cut/censored, or missing features/extras?


IMO they should have released all the seasons on BD much earlier, because the DVD prices are really cheap in the UK, many people have already bought the DVDs, and unless you're a really big fan, they'll probably not upgrade to BD, so meaning less BD sales, which in turn means less worthwhile for Warner releasing them. Releasing BD & DVD at the same time (and make sure the prices are at not too big a difference) would definitely drive BD sales.

I would call £45 a very reasonable price. Especially considering S5 on it's own is £24. Basically as long as you can make £21 selling your DVDs for 1-4 then the upgrade is

People comparing it to Friends? Friends is nowhere near as good as TBBT...

Yeah I'm wondering too,I know Warner tends to do Region Free Discs,but I don't want to be bit in the ass,but getting all 5 Seasons(even tho I have Seasons 3 & 4) if the content is the same,for $74 after conversion compared to what my "Target Price" for Seasons 1,2,& 5 are which adds up to $93,plus I could save more by offing my Season 3 & 4 BDs,would be awesome and a nice breath for my wallet to take.

Sorry to be crass, but why do all the distributors have such a hard-on for releasing in September? Its like November in the gaming industry.
I'd be interested in the 1-5 boxset but I'll have to wait until I've paid for everything else getting spam-released that month...

I suppose the upside is there will probably be a price drop before I'm able to order it.

Like a tit I bought the 1-3 DVD box set only to see the 1-4 set a few days later drop to a couple of quid more. Usually I would have send the 1-3 set back unopened but my sister went through the lot in a few days.

I'm going to buy the 1-4 set and give the other set to my brother as season four on DVD is almost as much as the 1-4 set! It does have a nice slip though.

I hate the show, but I think its very well priced.

Yes, I didn't get it in time at the 44 price. It was 52 something by the time I saw this. 43.74 after VAT, 46.82 w/shipping. Around $78 US after conversion.

Tried to chat with Customer Service to see if I could get a price adjustment since it just changed but no luck It was worth a try.

Working out at a tenner each is pretty good going but im quite happy with my DVD's for now. Im getting season 5 for £20 from HMV (20% code) and that'll keep me going! Maybe I'll upgrade 1-4 some day down the line.

I think tbbt is more LOL but Friends has a far more compelling story for me. Might be the sheer amount of times I've watched it but I just have a far stronger connection to those six characters


Also damnit! I knew I should have pre-ordered it earlier today even if I didn't end up getting it Will wait for it to drop to £40ish lol.
