What you are referring to are "burnt in" subtitles. However, there are less than 10 such releases that I have seen since Blu-ray was introduced. 98% of all French titles come with standard "forced" subs.

Why does the "Last watched" part on my profile always display the wrong movie? It doesn't update.

Also, how do I enable my movie reviews to be displayed below my avatar?

Thanks iceman, I see that option has been relabeled to "subtitles forces/encoded in video".

Could the entries we put in the "Title" and "Synopsis" boxes in the database entries be written exactly as we write them? For example, I was hoping that the following would appear as I wrote it:

Superman II / Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
Collector's Edition

Instead it appeared as:

Superman II / Superman II
The Richard Donner Cut / Collector's Edition
Mirror Mirror (2012) - The best Snow White movie EVER!!!

Lily Collins - The most beautiful Snow White EVER!!!

Legend's Princess Lili - The most beautiful princess-in-distress

Link to BD?

For title you can use () to get it to display it like you want and in synopsis you can use <br>.

It's for the DVD. In the "Title" box, I type:

Superman II / Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (Collector's Edition)

and it comes out the second way in my previous post which I don't like at all. I want it to look like the first way.

http://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Superman-II-DVD/34356/

I just find that the titles aren't showing in the database the way we intended them to look.

Apparently there are two versions (UPCs) of the Wild Wild West Blu-ray. When trying to add the title I ran into this issue:

Quote:
There are already title(s) with that Best Buy SKU (2622461): Wild Wild West
Two issues:
  1. Hitting the back button causes some of the previously entered data to be lost. e.g. Yes/No boxes loss their selections; the text fields appear to be retained/remembers. There is no easy way to go back and edit previously entered info without hitting the back button.
  2. Can't add a new edition, with a different UPC, and add store SKUs if the SKU is already tied to a previous edition. I know for sure the blu-ray with the UPC I have came from Best Buy.
Not sure why there are two unique SKUs but there are. Maybe BB has a specific one since it was previously exclusive to BB?

I have asked once but I will do so again.

Is there any chance of getting a box that pops-up when you try and reply to a post that has been dormant for 6+ months or some other set amount of time?

Thanks

Apparently, you can't even add a SKU, after the fact, if it is already being used by another title. I purchased my copy from BestBuy when it first came out as an exclusive so I would have expected that we could use the same SKU number. The copy I have has an UPC of 8-83929-14692-5.

However, now that the profile contribution has been appear, trying to add the SKU results in the following error:

Quote:
Error in submission

There are already title(s) with that Best Buy SKU (2622461): Wild Wild West
Affected title (UPC 8-83929-14692-5):

Old listing (UPC 8-83929-20256-0):

Have you ever thought about putting our theatrical movie review count on the left side under of our Avatar, just like we have the blu-ray reviews? I think that would be great.

Is there a way to get some sort of pop-up notification when someone quotes one of your forum posts? If you post in a very popular thread and aren't able to check back for a day or two, it could be quite tasking to find if someone quoted you to provide an answer or ask you a question.

I am still really wanting the ability to sort my collection by audio, visual and overall review score. If this would require too much effort just let me know and I will gladly back off. Thanks for any info

Are there any plans to add the display option from the Blu-Ray Deals page to our My BD's page?

The Deals page displays the discs with covers and allows you to specify 4 image different sizes. This type of view on our collection page would make it so much easier for family members and guests to select movies from various devices (tablets, phones tv's etc)

Thank you

Default Production YEAR on Movie Reviews

I have a BIG BIG request for Bluray.com bluray reviews. Quite Often I don't have the time to read EVERY new review, but some titles look interesting and I click on them... sometimes it's a "Wow! I remember that film!" moment. Other times its a "Wow, never heard of it but I must check that one out" moment.

I love classic films and especially silent films and keep up with Kino, Criterion, Buster Keaton and Chaplin. I picked up "M" and others. I sometimes miss films because I didn't know they existed or were affiliated with a genre, time period, or artist I like. A Prime example is "The Saphead." I must thank Bluray.com for sparking an interest in Buster Keaton and I picked up "The General" and The Short Films Collection and have seen many Buster films online, etc. If I just see "The Saphead" on the right side of the screen, I likely will not click on it, because I did not know it was from 1920 (let alone 2011, Kino or Keaton).

Displaying the year would be wonderful as I am more inclined to check out reviews for pre-40's, the 70s, and a few 80s/60s. It may be asking too much to ask for the label, but I'd love to see titles as such:

A Trip To The Moon [Flicker Films] (2002)

This would especially be great for films that had remakes like

Metropolis (1984)
Cape Fear (50s vs. 90s)

Anyway, thats my two cents.. thanks for considering...

Along with this request I would also like to make a suggestion to group movies that are sequels. Even though many of these movies are not sold in a bundle, could we make a field so that we can tie movies together that are meant to be? Any movie that has sequels that don't come with numbers are out of order on our lists. I would love to be able to associate all of the Ice Age movies together or the Christopher Nolan versions of Batman so that Dark Knight doesn't appear many movies further down the list. The movies that I know of so far that are effected are:

Ice Age Franchise
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Dark Knight Trilogy
Star Wars Saga
Chronicles of Narnia
Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise
American Pie Franchise
(probably others that I don't know about)

adding a field in the information page similar to bundle id (maybe label it "sequels" or "franchise id" or something and we can put in the id of the titles related to the film that way each film will know to follow the sequence field)

Hopefully this can be looked at between the mods.

Is there a way to add the same movie to two lists at once? This would come in handy if I have multiple copies of the same movie (one for my own collection in my "owned" list and then again in a "for trade" list). This will help with the trade matching feature.
