jeans and boys movie deserve for the bluray treatment , ar rahman and shankar combo songs are good ,

surprised to see a que raised for its bluray treatment!!!

apinternational can release atleast economic quality blurays of classics if not the best since old movies sources may not good,

(few many not agrees the term economic quality i guess!!!)

Why invest in HD equipment for "economic quality" - just watch the DVD version!!!!!

At present restoration for Jeans and Kandukodian are on the cards.

If Chandramukhi blu-ray sales are good...we could also be looking at the restoration and HD release of Ghilli, Kaaka Kaaka, Boys and even a Mani Ratnam film....

If possible we'll use Rekhs for subtitling them also....depending on her schedule...

Indian, Jeans, KanduKondein Kandukondein and BOYS. Badly needed on Blu Rays. let it happen soon..

what i meant is if not ayngaran quality( which is best ) can have some decent quality.

i can say that there is a difference in quality between ayngaran and ap international blurays(decent quality but not the best for eg, songs)so does the price.

DVD are just 480P and there is lots of difference between 480p and 1080p.
i know many wont be agreeing this but just said!!!

Most people would just buy the Tamil bluray and read the English subtitles.

What quality difference exists between Ayngaran Blu-ray and AP International Blu-Ray?

ALL Ayngaran blu-rays are done by AP International under my supervision. So for you to say there is a difference is "forgive my expression" dumbfounded!

Default Finally some classics on bluray!

Indian, Boys, Jeans will be so nice to see in Bluray.. I only have VCD copies of them. If any Maniratnam movie comes on Bluray it will be a dream come true! Khaaka Khaaka would be nice to see on Bluray. But Sunny, is there any chance Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu will be on Bluray. I personally thinks it has a lot of scope to do good business.

What about the dvds?
aren't they produced by API for Ayn? they have loud volumes on song compilations and movies which are sold by API in Indian markets. I have to lower db settings to minimum to get pleasant sound.

@ Sahran Sunny Audit, have you worked for the Malayalam BDs from AP? I have bought the title, Pranchiyettan and the saint. It was really pathetic.

If they are pathetic, that means sunny did not work on it.

Bros, He said "All Ayngaran releases are supervised by him and not AP international releases such as some Malayalam BDs and Kollywood hits". Am I correct?

I disagree..Ayngaran released "Villu" on blu-ray. I am sure that even the most rabid Vijay fan would agree that "Villu" was a mega-flop (Budget - 15 crores with a Collection of 5 crores)

Yes & No. They released "Engeyum Kathal" a flap, but not the "Engeyum Eppothum" a Hit. Tough logic to understand.

I think, it depends on the Actors/Music/ROI /Value/Movie Success/other restrictions such as rights. Only businessmen can understand the logic.

Probably. we have to wait for two more years to get most of the Tamil films in Blu ray. I doubt any other company can compete with Ayngaran in terms of quality. I hope Ayngaran improve their online buying experience, such as adding paypal.

We have to wait at least 2 more years so that DVDs will start to disappear.
Onkyo TX-NR809 Receiver.
