I read Strikes Again that way too. It didn't do as much for me as Returns, but I can't say I really remember much about it other than that it wasn't nearly as well received. Miller's later Batman stuff tends to paint the character more like Iron Man: rich-boy playing a game with his toys, rather than the obsessed man on a mission. For those interested in exploring Batman's relationship in the game with Raas and Talia, there's Son of the Demon, Birth of the Demon, and Bride of the Demon, in that order I believe, but I may have the later two mixed up. They were originally published as graphic novels, so they shouldn't be hard to find. Knightfall introduced Bane and led into Azrael taking the mantle of the Bat while Wayne recovered. Anyone interested in Arkham City's mystery figure who, like Hush, appears to be being primed for the next installment might want to check out Sword of Azrael too (the original mini-series with Quesada art). Quesada's art alone is worth the read. I've just recently been catching up on some of what's happened with Batman over the past few years since I stopped collecting as much. It's not related to the game, but I just finished Batman Noel: incredible art and a great story playing off Charle's Dickens A Christmas Carol. I need to dig into all the books I've got stowed away. I'm sure there are more great Batman stories worth mentioning. Last edited by MoulinBlu; 06-28-2012 at 01:47 PM. |

There have been other Hush stories, but I personally don't care much for the character outside of that first story. Don't read The Dark Knight Strikes Again! I read The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Again back to back and it made me hate them both until I talked to a friend and he made me realize everything I hated was from TDSA, but I was lumping them together so I went back and re-read TDKR and appreciated it a lot more. So WTF are these campaign challenges? They're all I have left besides NG+ and perfect combo. Some of those predator challenges were a bear already. Sat there as long as 45 minutes just watching and moving around, not counting the failed attempts.

They're a mix of combat and predator challenges that you have to do in groups, with handicaps and limited continues. Some of the handicaps are beneficial, though.

Triple post!
All Righty! So I could not give up, and I have one campaign challenge left...Predator Master...of course. I need help. I've looked at videos and recommendations, but need some other ideas. It took me a whole lot of tries to get through the first part (GCPD) with the timer and agression, and never got through the second part using protective aura, saving danger zones and free medal for last. This challenge is insanely hard. At least after playing the campaing combat challenges I should have good timing for NG+ combat without counter prompts. |

Boombox for End of the Line is not hard at all. You just plant the gel, throw a sonic batarang and disable the weapon of the henchman that comes to investigate and when he goes to the box to get a new weapon BAM!

All you have to do is work your way to the opposite side of the tracks and get up into the box area with the sniper. You just sneak by off to the sides, hiding in grates Knock the sniper out of the window using the REC. The key is to just stay in that hole and use the remote controlled batarang to knock henchmen off the box carts one by one. Use the sonicbatarang to draw them up there and just shoot them. Yeah, it can be time consuming, but its about as close to fool proof as you can get. Just save the scrambler guy for last. Once he is all that is left. Throw your sonic batarang at the top of the ladder and once he climbs up shoot him off. Absolute easiest thing ever. You will not need the gargoyles at all.

I disabled the vantage points for End of the Line Extreme and just hid in a corner, shooting people with the REC and doing ground takedowns. The only exception was the jammer guy, who I froze and kept until last. That first map without vantage points is bullshit.

The first and second maps require vantage points for the medals, too.
The third map, you can also grapple onto the walkway, disable the two nearest firearms, turn around and REC the guy coming up the ladder, turn back around and batarang the first guy whose gun you disabled then charge for the sniper nest. The rest as you say. You can also get to the sniper nest straight away by going directly through the train cars. I'd rather get the first two medals over with right away. My issue is with the Boombox medal in the second map. I really don't know what I am getting wrong. I did not have trouble in the standalone challenge. Wait until the last man, spray the gel, sonic batarang, disable weapon, detonate when he runs to the box? |

Its been a while since I've played the story mode all the way through so this may have been addressed and i don't remember ...
Is it possible Talia actually gave the Joker some Lazarus pit juice? And he will come back to life =P |

Comics are like daytime soaps in that regard: Death is never permanent. I can't recall if he actually died or just appeared on the brink of death. Regardless, if they want to bring him back, they'll find a way.

Finished the challenge this morning before work. Used all my retries in the second map again. I think my trouble with the Boombox was not keeping the box in line of sight, relying on the alert for when to detonate. I think you have to hit it as soon as the henchman gets to the box, and if you don't anticipate by watching, you're too late. Now for perfect combo and NG+.
