I believe there's also a German deluxe Koch mediabook (think Inferno) release on the horizon. Hope to see how they compare.

I bought a box set of 6 (or 5, can't remember) dutch films by verhoeven, released in france by Metropolitan... hope to see them in blu-ray soon

finger crossed on this one not having forced subtitles, I do not buy films if they do, I hate them.

Amazon.fr lists Filmedia as the distributor, and it seems they usually put optional French subtitles on their discs. However, they've not got that good a track record, as far as I can see, with a terrible release of Polanski's Repulsion, as well as 1080/50i releases of Cannibal Holocaust, The Big Trail and Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. Guess I'll wait for reviews before buying.

Is the Latin dialogue extensive enough to require subtitles?

I'd say it seems that it's the same thing over and over with Filmedia and their so-so exclusive editions...

Reviews on amazon.fr state the transfer is full of artifacts and subtitles are forced.

Not sure if you know this but this has Jake Wood (max branning in eastenders, no i dont watch it)in one of his first roles.
Went to school with him and i remember him bringing in photos from the set.
