Was able to find Trinity yesterday at a Walmart and swung by B.B but they had nothing. Still no luck on Blade and I figure Walmarts are probably a better bet to find one than B.B atthis point.

That's what I love about Amazon.

You can pre-order what you want and if the price is not where you want it to be as the release date approaches you can cancel with no worries

Exactly! IMO, the best blu-ray preorder 'safety net' around.

Amazon will not charge the customer's credit or debit card, until their order(s) is shipped.

Just ordered Blade from buy.com for $11.99, plus free shipping. It's cheaper than Walmart.

So Amazon appears to have three different releases of Blade 1. From what I gather:

1. A version(says DVD release 6/9/2009?) from studio 101 Distribution for $12.55.

2. A steelbook combo from Alliance.

3. Then there's one with no studio or release date info for $50 bucks.

Which one is it, although I understand the Alliance steelbook combo is old?

You want the new U.S blu-ray release from Warner Brothers, which Amazon currently doesn't have in stock. Click on the link that I've provided above to see the image! The Alliance version from Canada, is the one you don't want.

You'd think Amazon would at least have it up as "buyable" like Best Buy, even though it's backordered or Walmart. I'm not used to seeing a title not even up on Amazon and that seem strange. It's like they pulled the whole thing instead of having it say backordered or something.

A third party seller on Amazon is selling one for $49.00, which is ridiculous... Get it from Buy.com for $11.99 plus free shipping.

1 and 2 are the Canadian releases. 3 is the same ASIN used for the initial preorders for Blade but as others have mentioned Amazon currently doesn't have it available for order at the moment.

So is Blade and Blade Trinity Rare?

My local F.Y.E 2 miles down the street got at least 10 copies of Blade 1 in but sold out of Trinity. I picked up the first one for my personal use but didnt realise that the titles are rare (so it seems). Are they?

I just went ahead and ordered Blade from Walmart. I had to go out-of-town today and hit two Walmarts in different towns....nothing. All in state of Tennessee. My Daughter checked at another Walmart way on the other side-of-town and all they had was Trinity. yea....the shipping will be slow with a eta of about 10 days but at least I'll have a copy. Still a shame this version is not available (normally) thru Amazon

No they are not rare. The release date may have been pushed up to the 10th to match with Blade 2 or the stock on these is really low right now due to distribution problems.

They shipped it out to store a few hours after I ordered. Hope it wont take too long.
