Great. Hopefully we'll get all the extras and the same packaging as the US.

Nice. I've just preordered the US set but if a UK release is on the cards I will cancel.

I assume the discs will be the same so hopefully the Spanish version of Dracula will be included.

I'm not happy about the fact it doesn't mention the spanish version of Dracula, but at 55 pound cheaper than my preorder with Amazon.com I think I'll get over it.

Brilliant news. I was hoping there would be a UK release. The only film I've seen amongst those is The Bride of Frankenstein (and the first half of Frankenstein on Film Four years ago, before my dad decided to turn it over and put the football on!), so it'll be nice to finally watch the others.
UK BLU-RAY WISHLIST: Altered States - American Psycho - Assault on Precinct 13 ('76) - Boys Don't Cry - The Cable Guy - The Devils - Electric Dreams - Freaks
Fright Night ('85) - Hausu - Heathers - Hellbound: Hellraiser II - The Hills Have Eyes ('77) - The Keep - King Kong ('33) - The Last House on the Left ('72)
A Matter of Life and Death - Nightbreed - The Room - Scum - Secretary - Showgirls - Star Wars Unaltered Trilogy ('77-'83) - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Troll 2

They couldn't have gone with the US packaging could they? Wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have that '8 Titans of Terror in High-Definition' bit.

I think officially the Spanish version is just an extra so it could well be on there still as the UK set hasn't been detailed yet. Some of the new exclusive extras to the US set have already gone through the BBFC in the past week and they could both well be the same content-wise.

Hmm..I hope this Dracula is not like the Scareface BD - USA got the original as a extra but Europe not.

at that price. After what the US one was goin for I was hoping for 60 to 70 quid.

Be nice if the packaging was the same but at that price I'll take it either way.

Edit: looking at the pic on play I'd guess we're getting a digipack

I wouldn't worry about it, the US set is also 8 disks which means the Spanish version will be on the same disk. And this is Universal so the disks will probably be identical.

I have to admit, having not originally noticed the specs in the special features section on Play, it is a concern it's not listed. I have no idea why it's not been released over here as the film and even the intro (as a DVD supplement) were passed by the BBFC years ago.

Its a good price, but being a cheap bastard I think I'll wait and see if it drops any lower after release.

It was released here as part of the box set that came with the busts.

Ahhh.. I bought the R1 set. Didn't realise it had appeared on the UK one.

Its a shame the UK set doesn't seem to have the "Spanish language Dracula", looks very interesting.
