It's that global warming!

Today I got out around lunch time and did the yard and it felt nice... I'd prefer it in the 60's, but I'll take 80's this late into the year...

gotta love summer in the south.

it got up to just over 100 today (still 95 outside right now).

and we're forecast for at least 3 more days of 100+ degree heat.

and it's not even the middle of july/early august yet.
Will Disney ever release Old Yeller and Big Red on blu-ray?

Where do you go if you want to look up yesterday's high/low temperature? I couldn't find this data anywhere...

On the thermometer in my backyard (located in the shade) I saw the thermometer hit 102" at least once yesterday. They said some areas nationally are experiencing "all-time record highs" -- I think they must mean for any calendar day of the year.

After the flooding rains from TS Debby. I believe we had between 15-18" of rain in 3 days. Hotter temps near 100 should help evaporate some of this water. Add that and the humidity = sweat.

Jeez MaC, is your sidebar beneath your avatar long enough? You take up too much space when you post.

I don't want to talk about the mosquitoes...
They've been horrible this year...

Well, they're calling for 99 degrees tomorrow... That's always nice... But tomorrow is my oldest's birthday and we're having a pool party at my parents' house, so I think we'll make it...

This is the time of year when I start doing yard work at 8pm... I'm THAT GUY...

99 degrees is pretty high for us, but even if it's just 90 it still feels like over 100 with the humidity.

Yes! Best time to do the yard. Right before dusk.

I've got a lot of work I'd like to do in my yard but it's just too dang hot. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 100 and it's supposed to stay in the 90s through the weekend.

Yesterday was the first day in months that I left at rush hour (because of a power outage at work; rumour was that some guy struck a power pole ). Two words: never again. By the time I left, it was ~93°F (not factoring humidity); when I got home, I was soaked - literally. Maybe working a late shift isn't such a bad thing......

Tomorrow's humidex is supposed to hit between 46-50 C. For my Yankee friends that equates to 115-122 F.
