I just watched this again and I really liked it. Not as much as the first time through (maybe because it was only 2 days later).
One of the better sci-fi films. There better be a sequel or this movie will lack a bit of substance. This movie definitely felt written for a sequel. |

It will all come down to BO takings in that case and determine whether he gets a sequel greenlit or not. I think he might very well get his sequel assuming it lives up to their projections but i have no idea what they may be atm.

Count me in one of the few which did not like the movie. It looked great in IMAX 3D but just didn't feel attached and kept waiting and waiting for something to happen but it never really did. It did definitely feel like it was written for a longer movie / story so maybe it will better as a whole.
Also I don't know if it was intended to be a big reveal [Show spoiler] I also felt Charlize was heavily underused. I would have liked to see more of her.

Prometheus is nearing $120 million in the US; $285 million worldwide:
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=prometheus.htm Not too shabby for an R-rated sci-fi film that seems to be polarizing critics/audiences everywhere. |

I read his original budget plan was in the high 200s and Fox said only if its PG13 and Scott said Ill take the 120 and do R. If true, that is pretty cool for him to stick to his vision and not sell out to a higher budget.

Don't be in too much of a hurry for a prequel to Alien '79. You may be disappointed to find that the eggs found on the derelict don't exist in the Prometheus Universe. They have become funerary urns. http://blogs.todayonline.com/ratedg/...Prometheus.jpg
Also, the facilities on LV-223 were never [Show spoiler] This is an homage to Dan O'Bannon's original script. [Show spoiler]
