Went to a screening on Thursday night and very much enjoyed it. Although I was sometimes comparing certain scenes to the Sam Raimi version. 3D had quite a bit of ghosting, but was OK.

Anyone else feeling like the studios are jumping the gun with the announcements of presell for DVD/Blu-Ray? I mean damn, Spider-Man isn't even out yet and already presells. Same goes for Ted, Prometheus, Moonrise Kingdom, and MIB III. I realize we like to know as soon as possible when something is going to be available but it's ridiculous when the movie is barely out of the gates in theaters and you can already have it pre-ordered to buy for 3-6 months down the road.

Especially when you read all these threads here and half the posts are usually "cancelling this pre-order, getting it from here now".

Maybe it's just me though.

Your comment made me realize that HMV has yet to release an exclusive 3D Steel for you guys, have they?
They did Thor, but only 2D...
Capt.America they didn't get all all, did they?
Avengers will be 2D from them...
Am I missing something?
They had Immortals I'm sure, but everyone in the UK got that

A 3D G-1 from .de & Sony

...not likely

G-1s are mainly the newer WB's from FR and our US BB's (sometimes)

The only G-1s from DE that I can think of were those DVD/BR combo exclusives (from either Mueller or MediaMarkt) like King Kong & Wanted
(not the new MM 100th Anny Wanted, but the 1 released before it w/ that same closer shot of Jolie)

Probably because the vast majority here couldnt care less about 3D

Other than a couple of online friends I dont know anyone who has a 3D home setup... so Im guessing a 3D exclusive wouldnt be a big seller?

Capt America had an exclusive steelbook from HMV...

CA wasnt 3d on HMV and it sold out, CA was 3D in France, Germany and Japan, and only France has delisted the 3D on AMZ.

You have shown that 3D isnt a big selling tool for SteelBook

I like all of my 3D movies though

Some look way better than others of course, but they all add a little something extra IMO
