Haven't seen any Triple Layer burners in American markets... Nor 100GB media.

It is not a matter of portability. HDD failure for long-term inactive drives is extremely high. They are completely useless for archiving critical data.

And BD-R is much less secure than static hard drive storage - I've had a couple of BD-R discs fail with read errors in as little as a year... So what exactly are we supposed to use for reliable archival data storage... Magnetic tape?!
Lol!The only sure-fire way is to have Raid arrays backed up with multiple copies on other backup media, and those backup media copied over to multiple new media every so often... yay.
