I think I got it at $35 but I am no longer sure about that.

Yes. It is the most expensive blu-ray in their catalog. I bit anyway, and have no regrets. I think the film is quite good and one of the most re-watchable 1950's sword and sandal epics. The transfer is well done with luscious colors and appropriate film grain.

Yes, it has always been $40 - I preordered this last June before its release at that price. Knew nothing about it going in but as oildude states its a good 1950's sword and sandles film.

Thanks

My computer knowledge is pretty much surfing the net and emailing so I'll just have to place orders via phone.

I love the cover for Bye Bye Birdie; so bright and vibrant.

August can't come sooner!

I have always really liked Bing Crosby because my mom loved his specials and films, but I'm really torn on whether to shell out the dough for High Time.
I watched some vids on YT, and it does look pretty decent.
decisions, decisions............
(btw: cannot wait for Olive to release The Bells of St. Mary's. love that movie)
EDIT: got shipping notice for July releases!

A mod (or the thread starter) should update the OP to show the covers like in the Olive/Kino/Criterion threads.

Yeah, I just got an email that THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN... has shipped to me too, and I ordered RAPTURE with it. I figure I better get that while the getting is good.

Did everyone see the news that Eric Sykes died on July 4th, age 89? I think just the three main stars, Stuart Whitman, Sarah Mills, and James Fox, are the only ones still alive now.

Excited for this and for The Bells of St. Mary's as well, one of my favorites!

It be great if we could get Going My Way...the prequel to The Bells of St. Mary's someday too!

And COVER GIRL has shipped!

I was reading these posts about Magnificent Men...shipping and I was pretty jealous.

I was just about to log off when I realized I hadn't checked my email for several hours. I checked it a couple of minutes ago and there's the shipping notice for COVER GIRL.

Note that I do intend to order THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES but I didn't have it on pre-order. I'll likely order it once COVER GIRL arrives safely.

I watched 2 movies tonight (Jules Verne's Journey and The Roots of Heaven) and was very underwhealmed with the PQ to say the least. I wasn't expecting miracles but these two transfers were a bit of a letdown, particularly for the price.

I am hoping my experience with my other TT titles is more pleasant.

and with a magnet..

I'm trying hard not to watch this... since I really want to first experience it in 70mm next month on the big screen, but of the few scenes that I've perused - wow, the transfer is eye-popping!
